This Gold farm uses lava to automatically light the portal, and an ultra-fast ticking clock to break it, spawning in zombified piglins extremely quickly for you to auto-kill with a trident killer for gold and XP.

I made a materials list. I had to tear mine down and rebuild it because I had it backwards. Ziglins spawning on the wrong side. AFK platform or glass side should be on the East side - place the obsidian North to South for the portal frame. List is not exact but very close. - 23 Observers - 2 Droppers - 1 Dispenser - 156 Chests - 136 Hoppers - 76 Redstone Dust - 22 Redstone Torches - 72 Named Items (From anvil for sorters) - 19 Trap Doors - 4 Powered Rails (2 if you plan to replace 2 rails with Redstone Dust instead) - 2 Levers - 20 Redstone Comparators - 20 Redstone Repeaters - 4 Tridents (I enchanted mine with unbreaking III not sure if that helps) - 4 Pistons - 4 Blast Furnaces - 135 Glass - 2 Fence Gates - 4 Mud Blocks - 1 Slab - 88 Obsidian Blocks - 7 or so stacks of Blocks (I would not use any wood blocks) - 5 Buckets of Lava - 3 Buckets of Water - 8 Gold Nuggets - 4 Gold Ingots - 2 Rotten Flesh I think that's it. I had to rebuild it a couple of times due to my own mistakes, so the numbers might be off a little. Works very, very good! Thanks, Prowl!

yes you can use water however iirc during a foxynotail truly bedrock vid when foxy was makin a gold farm, it was shown that powder snow is slightly faster than using water. and it makes less of a mess if the redstone for the clock breaks

it's a bedrock edition farm (you can't have this working on a hardcore world unless you have a hardcore mod)

Prowl, I have a puzzle for you. I need a gold farm that works on a Nintendo Switch. The processor doesn't seem to be able to handle how quickly the portal flicks on-and-off, so it never spawns anything. It needs a delay that slows how quickly it turns off after turning on to give the portal time to generate.

The Cube design was perfected years ago by NavyNexus. You can see many of his designs added in here, the portal lighting, and trident killers resemble his older designs. If you build Navy's design, swap the water buckets for powdered snow.

Since fire blocks prevent portal frame creation, you should move your trapdoors one block higher to prevent fire blocks in the obsidian.

@@Prowl8413 oh yeah it seems that Mojang fixed that. I remember about a year ago when I built my gold farm, it wouldn't create portal frame when there is fire blocks on the obsidian. Now it just creates portal frame when it fire spreads even if there is fire block on the obsidian.

If playing on a realm, you will need to replace the trap doors with nether fence gate as trap doors do not light on fire on a realm. place a block on top of the gates to make sure the fire stays to the portal side and does not burn on the top of the gate.

I always use a cauldron filled with lava for my trash can so I don't accidentally make a mess in my build with lava if something goes wrong

Have built several of these over the past few years. Every one has been some iteration of Prowl's. Thank you Prowl!. I have a problem though on this one. The trap doors are not flaming up. My buddy has one running just fine about 300 blocks away. Any ideas on why they won't catch fire form the lava flow?

i had the same problem. i think you have to rotate the farm 90 degrees. for some reason, trapdoors have to face a certain direction in order to catch fire

How far from other overworld portals? That have their overworld and nether cords matched uo so they work right.

Thank you for this build. I just got done watching your 8 portal one and was thinking, "that's overkill" but this one is perfect. I'm just gonna have to modify the portal part cause of epilepsy in my family. (Modify the portal by adding 2-3 blocks out from both sides to cover the flashing)

Change the clock to: 2 torchs, a comparator reading the dispenser, a repeater and 9 redstone dust be sure the dust touches the two blocks above the touches and both sides of the dispenser. This clock needs one more block of space, use slabs to prevent the observer from messing with the signal. Edit: Forgot to mention the comparator does not need to be changed to subtract mode. Also forgot to mention this is for timing purposes to pervert the portal from stopping for 30s to a minute randomly. The killer will always be grinding piglins with this clock.

If you're serious, build an above ocean guardian farm, they're easy, low resources, and provide more XP than any typical mob due to their unique cap... So once you hit level 100 you won't notice a significant slowdown

I think he forgot to mention, but this farm in directional... If you don't built it facing the right direction, the fire won't spread and the farm won't work.

Nope . First step is to make the lava light system so you know in which direction they spawned . Then build the farm . Did it 3 times no problem at all .

@@ans-dq9xh but for me, I first built the farm in a direction (i forgot which💀), but then the lava was nit lighting the portal..... And I had to break it and rotate it 90 degrees..... Then I checked the lava lighting system and it was working

You can place a stack (64) of any item (I used copper ingots) in an anvil, type a name, and name all 64 for 1 level. You don't need name tags to do this. Hope this helps.

You can also just use any item that you know for a fact will not be going into this system like if your sorting gold, flesh and gold ingots if you put dirt in the slots it will work fine unless you get dirt in the system somehow then you will have issues.

If you have a plus account then your worlds are probably saved on the cloud. Our drive failed to a few months ago and we had everything backed up on the cloud thankfully

@@Diasoar I put a dispenser above the water one and ran a red stone line with one repeater to offset. Fill the dispenser with flint and steal. Similar to Prowls huge gold farm. That worked well enough for me.

I like your build. For a solo world, a single portal farm is more than enough. I find that I don't need the full line of observers to keep the portal flickering - though more might up the rate a touch. 5-6 is usually enough if cost is an issue. Also, I don't usually bother with the trident killer, since I'm usually using it as an XP farm to mend tool and enchant - the gold is a byproduct that I normally end up with excess of (especially now that curing villagers is a one-time proposition). That said, sometimes I do just so I don't have to do hand switching since Bedrock won't let us offhand tools. Rather than a burn out torch system, I usually power my dispenser from the same observer clock as the portal lighting system with a sticky piston pulling out the key observer (down, so that lava doesn't spill everywhere) turning off both the lighting observers (for less lag) and the dispenser. Also, lighting up the area around your portal will cut out the lighting updates and reduce lag (important since all the zigs tend to create some lag). I also, as a precaution, make sure that my linking portal in the nether is over a long drop onto a hard surface so that any zigs - though there shouldn't be any - on the other side face a certain death. I had a system where I was pumping very hostile zigs into the nether occasionally, making my trips to the other side very dangerous.

obsidian, lava, trapdoors. I went a harder way with a old style 4 second timer loop and then compare to make a pulse signal for the water dispenser. I also moved the trap doors up since that seems to stop the portal from forming.

Double check if you did the item filter that it is set up correctly and all the hoppers are pointing in the correct directions. If you have overflow chests after the item filters, the ingots should go there even if your item filter is not set up correctly.

@Freedom-Live no. I use the observers and the lava and trident killer. But I don't do all of the extra redstone. I also let them drop like 20 blocks to take fall damage. I know ot may not be the most efficient, but it's costly to use 300 hoppers, comparators, and repeaters. He just throws them down like you can pull them out of the grass or something lol

Java has vastly better gold/xp ziggy farms using the nether roof and their spawning mechanics. Once you build your froglight farm on the nether roof you will have a continual supply of magma blocks to make your zig farm with.

Bedrock and Java have a slow rate of ziglins spawning per portal tile. On Bedrock though, they also have a chance of spawning upon being lit. This is why ultra fast flickering makes such a good farm on Bedrock.

Not true. There are a couple crazy designs that require crazy engineering to do... on Bedrock, you can just run more portals, have a more simple system that produces a ridiculous amount of ziglins
