FAST Shulker Farm With NO REDSTONE | Minecraft Bedrock Tutorial

Just built this farm in our realm! It was just as finicky as promised with the shulkers and their mechanics...however, well worth the toil to get the results! We have been suing it for almost 15min and already have 5 stacks of shells. I don't think we will need to use this farm for more than an hour or two to fit our needs for quite a while! I built this in the end in my realm, but I didn’t build the breeder. Instead, I buttoned all of the shulker spots except for two. Then I got two shulkers into those spots and opened one more spot. Then as shulkers duped, I opened up more spots ensuring that there would never be a possibility that the shulkers get too spread out to hit each other. Others have already said this, but I’ll repeat it: invisibility potion works like a charm when you need to go outside of the safety of the armor stands. Also, leaves work in place of glass. This was super helpful for doing maintenance before the shulkers had filled the whole farm.

Came for the breeder, since I'm building a bigger shulker farm than the one shown here. One thing I'd recommend everyone add is a tripwire right above where the minecarts are to catch the duplicated shulkers. Shulkers can teleport into spaces under string, so it doesn't block any duping spaces, and it can only detect the minecarts when a shulker is inside of them. If you run a redstone line beneath one of the blocks the tripwire is on into the pistons, you can have the breeder automatically shut off the pistons and prevent shulkers from accidentally killing each other, without having to watch it constantly

PSA: the materils list is fairly incomplete. Anybody trying this I strongly suggest you bring the following extra materials: - Twice the amount of rails/powered rails suggested as well as an extra stack of buttons/materials to make buttons. Chances are a bunch are gunna fall and you don't want to have to go collect them from the ground. - You'll also need two buckets of water (at least, more is faster) - You need 9 armor stands - You need at least 7 minecarts, bringing a few extra is convenient - You will need at least two boats to make getting the shulkers in minecarts a lot easier - I suggest also bringing a few extra stacks of solid blocks, glass, wood and iron ingots. I had to make a bunch of minecarts, glass and other items that I didn't bring with me, and if I didn't have my emergency shulker box full of raw materials I probably would have had to make 3-4 trips back to base, which would have been a major pain. - Also, it's not explicitly mentioned here but you want an extra, empty minecart in the shulker cage that doesn't have a slab in it. - Make sure you have an Elytra while doing this because activating your Elytra ignores the levitation effect. When moving the shulkers you can use your Elytra to crawl under the raised pistons and hide from more shots/wait out the levitation, figuring this out was a game changer. With all of that said, after going through the IMMENSE frustration that is moving and duplicating shulkers, this farm is INSANE. I finished it at about 1am and left it running while I slept. Woke up to more than a full double chest of stacks of shulker shells. I would need 3500 logs to make enough chests to use all the shells from ONE overnight afk session. Chances are I'll never visit this farm again. In future worlds I will definitely be making the smaller one because this one is overkill, but if you need thousands of shulker boxes for some reason then this farm will get you there EASILY.

Yea, using the duplicator didn't work, because the rail car kept getting destroyed. So I went back to the end got 2 more shulkers. Brought them to the farm, eventually 4 shulkers turned into 20. I just put buttons on the places I didn't want the shulkers to teleport to, so they didn't end up spreading out and not hitting each other at all, and knocked off the buttons 2 at a time until the farm was full. A bit time consuming but was worth it. Thanks for the farm Prowl. 👍

1 year ago i commented that the farm didn't worked for me because the shulkers were not teleporting to the over world. So i stopped all of my work because i tried 5-6 times to teleport them to the overworld and it didn't work. Yesterday night i thought about building the farm once again and did exactly as shown in the video and it really worked out for me idk how. Previously it didn't but yesterday , it was all a miracle. I completed building the whole farm just few hours ago. Guys, i highly recommend this farm. It's really tricky to build but it's really really worth it. Thanks for such a great tutorial❤.

It's amazing how much more efficient you can make a process by repeating it a couple of times, especially with that insane learning curve you had to ride when you were making the first farm on the live streams. Great work on the video. Built this farm and it is as good as you said. A couple of tips maybe to help, I enclosed the scaffolding getting up to the AFK platform because I found it impossible to climb up there without getting knocked down. And putting a glass layer at the spawning block level helped a lot for protection. I will have to try that trick to get them to the overworld, just drop a boat?

Just make sure you drop the boat straight down, placing a couple blocks off the bedrock column and breaking them to do the drop works just fine. Otherwise the boat/minecart being pushed in carries some forward momentum. A friend found my boat attempt hundreds of blocks from spawn.

So some small way to make this better instead of needing to break the carts (when filling the farm) use an activater rail. This will kick the creature out and then build a return so you do not need to go into the farm to get your minecart back. ( difficult to hit the cart on console) Another helpful hint. When teleporting the creatures out a half slab beside them so the can not shoot at you while trying to break the cart. And come from the side. Build a full wall to block them from shooting you will make it a lot easier.

[GLITCH] SHULKERS DIDN'T APPEAR IN OVERWORLD: Log off and log back in, they'll appear. Also they could land far from spawn point. In my case the boat was 130 blocks North from spawn point

There were at least a dozen boats with shulkers near my spawn point. So yeah every shulker I sent reached overworld. Are you sending the boat in overworld as shown? Also I didn't put any water near spawn point bcz shulkers drown in water so it's risky.

Potions of invisibility CERTAINLY DO WORK. 100% of the time. You have to be aware of looking at endermen, as the potion doesn’t seem to work on them, and you must not be wearing any armor/elytra. That is how I built my shulker farm last week. I guess Prowl is just salty because chat kept on insisting he use a potion.

You can skip the breeder if you put bottom buttons on all but two sites in front of you, then remove the buttons as the shulkers multiply, making sure that there aren't enough sites open that they can spread out too much. Admittedly hard to remove the buttons, but it saves some building. Also +1 on the use of activator rails to get the shulkers out of the rail cart, both at the portal and at the farm.

Fun build- Suggestion- shulkers can't tp onto leaves and can tp to only one side of slabs. A ton of time and resources can be saved by using these since its 1/2 resources for slabs, leaves are easily attainable, and it uses considerably fewer buttons. Especially if you're doing it in survival, so you don't need to climb below the build as much to button

If you don't want to use armor stands you can also use water and soul sand to create a barrier between you and the sulker bullets

Got this built in a few hours, not too bad of a build difficulty wise. Had to use glass on the end gateway because they would stick to sides with buttons and not go to end island. EDIT: takes about 2 hours to get to full speed. 3 hour AFK was 1200 shells/hr (19st/hr) So glad to have this in the overworld. Building a giant shulker statue to encase it.

One suggestion is no thorns on any armor when working with shulkers. Made that mistake in my end farm. Last couple days I have been looking at getting shulker farm in my overworld farm tower. I used silent farm in the end when update came out adding it. I now needing way more shulkers and in my most afk location. I will be adding this to my farms in my tower area. Thank you.

Just a heads up guys. You may want to swap the glass above the afk with solid blocks and buttons to prevent phantoms from spawning. I set it to afk overnight and lost most of that time to a phantom. Otherwise, great farm!

For those that are having issues with the shulker duplication. Place the powered rails exactly as shown in the video. The minecarts need to be “inside” of each other or else the dupe won’t work. You can get the minecarts “inside” of each other by placing the powered rails exactly the same as 23:36

Lol I built a farm similar to this in the overworld I did not build a breeder I just cut them loose in my world spawn and once I had a lot I built a platform in the air similar to this and I put the extra shulker’s in my buddies house, and I let them breed a few more times he had a lovely surprise of 21 shulker‘s in his house when he logged in. the farm is ridiculous. It’s over 1000 shells per hour.

For ppl struggling with minecart being destroyed by shulker projectals. There is an easy FIX for that. The shulker hitbox is still higher than minecart hitbox, so you just need to make the projectals hit slightly higher than in the initial tutorial: the platform where you stand behind the armor stand (the breeder one) has to go one block higher, and put a slab above your head - so that you are constantly 'crouching'. This causes the shulker to aim just a bit higher and omits the minecart hitbox. Tested 100% success on my survival world - 'zero' minecarts destroyed. One problem with this, is it will make the breeder a bit slower. The projectals have some randomness to their trajectory, so only 40-60% are actually hitting the shulker. Which causes the shulker to die that much slower and therefore whole breeder slower as well. Note: it usually took 5-10 shulker deaths before the 3rd one spawned. Initially the shulker would just replicate itself and stay in the minecart. Seems after first succesfull duplication, the process speeded up. So be patient!

Just finished building it, and man it cranks out the shulkers. Building it in survival was not too bad, though I created a glass platform 3 blocks under the duplicator module to help with building it. I could not do it from the pistons down like he did, instead moving the video around to do it from the bottom (temp glass platform) and up from there. I did it near the main end island over the void. Moving and populating the shulkers initially and then to the main farm is a real pita, so be patient. I did not get 8 to the main farm before they started blocking my path and made it really, really hard... I probably got 5 or 6 of them. It took a little longer to populate, but it did work and fill in the rest of the farm. Hardest part for me was breaking the tracks and glass between the duplicator and the main farm once I was sure it was going to work. Note: If you have your elytra on, you can "fly" down once you've been hit with levitation, which allows you to do this weird reverse jump thing to keep you in a reasonable position.

You can make this work with absolutely no redstone as well :) just takes a bit longer to fully set up. Instead of building the breeder, I just blocked off the additional spawn spots with buttons, leaving one full platform open. Once they are fully populated, I just open a spot. Built it about an hour or 2 ago and have the farm half populated already. In other words, build this farm, treat it like his other farm he built, and block off spaces with buttons until all open spots are filled.

Without the safeties in place there's a chance of your Shulkers dying off. Once you have 1/3 to 1/2 of your platforms covered you can probably let them do the rest of the work. That said having a Shulker duplicator is pretty nice lol.

I think if you add buttons to some spots to prevent spread out, you could theoretically populate the farm with only two shulkers. The issue is they sometimes teleport without duping, so you would need to limit the spots they can teleport to and slowly add them back

Stacking minecarts - NOT an issue! I am working with ps4 on realms. I have not had an issue running the farm with the minecarts stacking though I made a couple adjustments to accommodate them. Place the shulker and drop a minecart on its head. Or vice versa. First - while the farm was OFF, I added a second ring of glass blocks on top of the first ring around the in-a-minecart shulker (closest to the armor stand). This ring does not move and does not interfere with the shulker bullets. I find it DOES help to keep the upper minecart in place. (Before I added the second ring of glass the top minecart occasionally got jostled or nudged out of the hole and caused issues.) Second - the stacked minecart can occasionally get broken though not often. I set up a torch tower near the on/off switch and a dispenser in the sky to drop a new minecart in when I need one. Observations - the shulker spawns in the unused minecart when the first one dies. So the working shulker is constantly switching position. (It's why you need two minecarts.) Whether in the top or bottom minecart, the farm appears to work just fine. Hope this helps!

if anyone is having trouble getting the shulkers to appear in the over world, took me a few attempts with the boat never appearing, what finally did it for me was having the boat set up before dropping the first one through, so break the minecart, then break the 2 blocks all in about 5 seconds, then push the second one up and drop it through, waited about 10 seconds before jumping in myself, then as soon as the overworld appeared I logged out of my realm then instantly logged back in, boat dropped about 10 seconds later. kept a back up of my world to keep re uploading on failure, if your doing it offline i would imagine you could duplicate your world before attempting. also it appears to be a good way to get any XP the dragon dropped into the portal, as enough dropped that was stuck in the air i went from level 58 to 67

Okay I just made this in my survival world and apparently they updated the hitbox on carts. The Shulkers just break the cart after firing twice now and that's all that happens. The other Shulker teleports. doesnt even die this time so theres no way to duplicate.

For some reason the one in the minecart doesn't duplicate, he just dies and the other one spawns in the outer minecarts. How do I duplicate shulkers if the one in the center cart doesn't come back?

Never mind my issue, it was because I didn't have two minecarts stacked in the center at first.

Thats why I was careful to say the FARM uses 0 redstone to work, while yes, the breeded uses a little bit of redstone to put together.

Hey Prowl. Is there a workaround the minecarts now stacking on top? tried using pistons and glass but no luck

Stacking minecarts - NOT an issue! I am working with ps4 on realms. I have not had an issue running the farm with the minecarts stacking though I made a couple adjustments to accommodate them. Place the shulker and drop a minecart on its head. Or vice versa. First - while the farm was OFF, I added a second ring of glass blocks on top of the first ring around the in-a-minecart shulker (closest to the armor stand). This ring does not move and does not interfere with the shulker bullets. I find it DOES help to keep the upper minecart in place. (Before I added the second ring of glass the top minecart occasionally got jostled or nudged out of the hole and caused issues.) Second - the stacked minecart can occasionally get broken though not often. I set up a torch tower near the on/off switch and a dispenser in the sky to drop a new minecart in when I need one. Observations - the shulker spawns in the unused minecart when the first one dies. So the working shulker is constantly switching position. (It's why you need two minecarts.) Whether in the top or bottom minecart, the farm appears to work just fine. Hope this helps!

Great tutorial! I finished building this on a survival realm and it works great! Here's a tip: use invisibility potions whenever you have to move the shulkers.

Will the shulkers stick to the bottom of bottom slabs? The wiki implies they can, but I don't know how deeply the code has been delved. That'd simplify the build a bit, as you wouldn't need buttons. Thanks for the tutorial! I'll be building this once I get to the End!

i tested to see if i could get the shulker that was already in the overworld to catch the boat and wasn't successful with that so if you're going to push them to the overworld push the boat in afterwards to catch them it still left the one in the air 500 blocks up but a relog had them in water, i also had to use a 2 water source block to catch them it wouldn't let me use flowing water or one block gap

for those who teleport the shulker to their normal world you must not break the boat, you must try to kill it to duplicate itself outside the boat
