Normally there's a "Return to battlefield" message that counts down from 10, and once it reaches 0 you die. But in LASO your screen just gets redder and redder, bc no hud for the message. Ryan was staying in that section without realizing, likely thinking the red screen was the bubble shield getting damaged. Another thing about it is that it doesn't reset the moment you step out, the timer starts counting back up, so if you get out for a sec, and then back in at say 4 seconds, the timer will start at 4 seconds. That's why Ryan's screen went from red to normal back to red pretty quickly before he died.

The part where Ryan died mysteriously in the bubble shield is because he was "out of bounds" for 10 seconds. He didn't see thc countdown due to blind skull as Jeremy pointed out at 5:30. Those section are usually closed in Firefight and only opens when enemy spawn in it and stay near it IIRC. Edit: you can even see his screen goes red before dying, darker than what the bubble shield can go to.

Concerning Ryan's "mystery death" there is a small part of that side room that is considered "out of bounds". You can see Ryan's screen flash red when he walks through it. They can't see when they are out of bounds due to the Blind skull so they didn't notice

I love Operation Uppercut. You rip out a slipstream drive from a ship, intentionally install it on a Covenant ship wrong, then fly that ship right alongside the supercarrier and teleport its middle into oblivion. Noble Team is wearing Mjolnir Gen-1 Mk V(B). Jorge might be wearing base Mk V. Right around this timeframe all the available Spartan-II's were being outfitted with the Mk V armor, which included needing to have an additional surgery for the Spartan Neural Interface. So, off the top of my head, that mean that Jorge may well have been excluded, as well as Grey Team from Halo: The Cole Protocol and Halo: Envoy, and also would have excluded Red Team from the Halo Wars games. Mk IV was the first version of Mjolnir to be un-tethered from a power source (AKA Mk I-III all had a power cable, they also were more like mechs than suits of armor. see: Cyclops). The big improvements of the Mk V over the Mk IV were the addition of energy shields and a crystalline lattice layer that allowed for a ship-grade AI to ride in, and directly interface with both the suit and the Spartan. But, the Mk V(B) did not include the AI interfacing capability, which is why Noble 6 had to take Cortana to Keys in a storage module, rather than slotting her into 6's armor. (Part of that may also been that what 6 was carrying was just a fragment of Cortana, and not the full AI.)

Hector Jimenez This level was super difficult to get good at on Legendary, especially if you play this on MCC as the Seraph AI seems to be more aggressive. What I’ve learned, for the final wave, I purely stay behind the space station, taking pot shots at banshees and shooting missiles at de-shielded seraphs. Not many of then will go behind the station, so you can stay pretty safe back there. As for the actual level, you can run through the enemies, kill a grunt to get a plasma pistol, and kill the drop elite by the door, and take a bubble shield and sit by the door taking potshots at Grunts/Jackals until the door opens. For the last half, it’s pretty easy, grab an Energy Sword before going into space, and use that to one shot all 5 elites, they are pretty easy to deal with. After that, take a needle rifle and slowly clean up the rest of the rooms with needle rifle/plasma pistol.

Jorge can't be alive because of the radiation from the slipspace drive, which is normally hidden behind thick radiation shielding. Also, removing the ship from slipspace requires a separate jump. After reaching the end of the video, it also feels important to point out that Mjolnir can only recycle air for ninety minutes.

TECHNICALLY Jun DOES survive this. He's escorting/following Dr. Halsey off the planet, and the two of them actually have very interesting and cool adventures in the book following Reach. They find some real crazy cool Forerunner technology. And they clearly say in this video that the "warp drive" (Slip-Space Engine) works fine. It does the intended job. It "teleports part of the ship to oblivion", so presumably they just entered random coordinates (or coordinates to a bad place; black hole, giant star etc.) so there's a chance he survived the slip space teleport and he COULD be brought back somehow, if they ever wanted to.

Spartan Emile growing up only had had one thing in mind. That was to kill insurrectionist due to early years. His Helmet was scratched by a Warthog chain gun and was given advice to scratch into something that would terrify the enemy. Thus bringing the skull into action. Later on ONI would be inspired by this and produce helmets for the Spartan Vs.

Seraph damage is also determined by the frame rate. 60 FPS-like XB1-increases their DPS. I think PC may have slightly less frames aside from splitting up the aggro between 4.

Somehow the hardest level by far in this game was the one you spent the shortest time on, while two of the easiest (Nightfall is by far the easiest of the game and Tip of the Spear is not that difficult if you do some speedrun strats) are the ones you had the hardest time on.

I’d argue that New Alexandria is the hardest. I think they’ll have a really hard time with the elites in the hospital and the drones in the one tower. My friends and I beat the whole games on laso and those two parts took us a bit.

@@bedwards8238 Speaking from a solo speedrunner's perspective at least, New Alexandria isn't particularly difficult; the drones are entireably skippable and the hospital can also be skipped by forcing a banshee inside albeit not as easily as the drones. The worst part about the level is the constant fear of banshees and also the randomness of it. But apart from that, it's not difficult, at least not in the same way that LNoS is basically impossible on LASO solo by the fact that the space part is a trillion times harder than it is COOP. That being said, COOP is a whole different game and the levels that are hard on solo might not be hard on COOP, and vice versa. I play solo, so to me LNoS is by far the most difficult level in Reach. But for COOP I don't really know as I haven't played Reach cooperatively since it launched originally. Add onto that other factors like level familarity, skill gaps between players, different strategy implementations and the "hardest level" can be completely random depending on who you ask. I would easily pick Pillar of Autumn (or actually Nightfall, but seeing as that's objectively the easiest level by far I'll exclude it) as the easiest level in Reach just because I've spent most time speedrunning that particular level. But I know that it's objectively one of the hardest, and most people will think of that level as difficult. TL;DR: Solo vs COOP, things are different. Also many other factors matter into how your subjective opinion on the most difficult level is chosen.

@@bedwards8238 The drones are surprisingly easy though. They don't spawn until you activate the button. As soon as you press the button, turn and spring the shortest way back to the elevator. It's like 50 meters, mostly a straight corridor. The first 3 drones will show up as you are 10 meters from the elevator, sometimes you have to headshot ONE of them, sometimes you can just sprint past them. As soon as you reach the elevator you're in the clear, even before you close the doors. I used to think the room with 4 Hunters would be a nightmare too, but turns out you don't have to kill a single one of them either. Sprint in, sprint out. The only LASO moments that can be hard (speaking from a solo player perspective) are any one with multiple elites, as their shields are so strong. But as a general rule of thumb: Go slow, stay safe. Always eliminate Grunts first, Jackals and Skirmishers second and then try to "divide and conquer" the Elites by either isolating them or focusing them down one by one. One Elite isn't too dangerous, it's just when they gang up from multiple angels. Pretty much all Brutes are a 2-3 shot headshot kill, very manageable from safe distance. Except for the shield Chieftains, but they are very rare.

Jeremy continuously running in front of the grunt in the control room, and wondering how they keep seeing him is one of the most frustrating things in this video, you're better than that Jeremy! But you should know that the Elites and Grunts are not blind, when any of them see you, they all instantly become aware of you. You can take out the entire room without ever being seen, even on LASO. It took me a few tires on solo, but it's much easier than fighting.
