I am an oldie returning to the Easiest Swing after a few months experimenting with other swings. I am so pleased to have found all your videos again which are always so instructive and honest ( you even allow us to see your fat shots). Along with Brian, Julian and your goodself, I am expecting to find my golf again and enjoy playing well again.Your videos will be something to look back again at for help if things go wrong.Thank you so much Sean for your time and brilliant presentations of Brian,s swing, I am sure he must be very proud of you.

Sean, the concept here is that you want to sort of “heave” the club into the backswing, right? I found something that works well for me, and that is to start the backswing with the hips. My very first move is to pull/turn the right hip straight back - not a lot, just enough to get the body in motion. That little move starts a kinetic chain that happens in a heartbeat - first the right hip, followed by the shoulders, arms, hands and finally the club head. In real time you can’t even see it, but you can FEEL that kinetic chain happening. The club head is the last thing to move, and it seemingly just “heaves” itself into the backswing with no felt tension anywhere in the body. Try it with the Swing Caddy; you can really feel it with that thing. Works for me, I just thought I’d pass it along...

Brilliant synopsis Larry! I will delve deeper into the turn in a future video and your findings are similar to mine. And yes the last thing to move is the clubhead. As the great Wild Bill Melhorn once said, when the footwork is solid, the arms and hands don´t need to fight for position, they just fall effortlessly into place.

Brilliant clip Sean, must have seen and listened to this and others of your tapes and they all manifest the same thing, keep it simple! Marvellous….

Excellent! I had been doing something like this with driver practice but thought I might appear ridiculous on the course. Ridiculous aside, it works!

I'm learning the swing. I'm 87 and loving golf. With this swing I feel absolutely no tension and I'm in balance. Drives are 200 yards, 3 wood 170. Solids hits with NO EFFORT!!

Very inspiring Jim and believe me you are not the first or the oldest golfer to report this. Do you know of our official ES channel? youtube.com/@Easiestswing

Great video. Are you still an Easy Swing coach? It seems everyone has left.
3 жыл бұрын
Yes I am - just no videos recently (now it is too hot in Mallorca until September to play golf). It was only Julian who left and he has been the video making machine.

Do you lock you left elbow? Upon taking up this method I found I was hitting fat or thin unless I locked my left elbow, which produced good shots but also tendinitis.

Sean, at the top of the swing, you are fully loaded onto your trail side. How important is that to power? We hear about the stack and tilt, etc. We see many pros with very wide stances. Your's is narrowish compared to them. Yet it seems your narrow stance helps get the weight shift going. Could you please expound on that?
4 жыл бұрын
It is extremely important to power and I don´t think the Stack and Tilt is helpful for a senior golfer. Rather than the width of my stance it is the non-static set up that helps me to get my weight shift going. I would have a wider stance for longer clubs and in this video most of my shots are easy pitch shots so no need for too wide a stance.

Super! But please guys, stop positioning this as swing for senior golfers. This is physiologically and biomechanically absolutely correct movement with all body together. The only way to hit straight and far shots without injuries, because using only a part of body or the parts separate leads to imbalances. That is why we see so much injured young athletes in golf.

Hi Sean, I use the easiest swing method but I find that I don't hit down on the ball. I tend to pick the ball. Do you compress the ball? Any tips to help hitting down?
5 жыл бұрын
Hi Michael At the Easiest Swing you will notice we don’t use the word “downswing “ very often. We like to use the word “forward” swing. Keep this in mind the next time you practice and let your relaxed body make any necessary adjustments.

I found moving the ball back in my stance got me hitting down on the ball much better after I adopted this Easiest Swing method. Brian Sparks appeared to always play the ball back an inch or so from what would be the traditional placement.

I,ll add another deadly don,t,watching too many instruction videos i,ve nothing else to do i,ve been trying to stay centred, now i realise it,s a big mistake, because you don,t get your weight to trail foot and hitting poor shots,so i,ll try my best to stick to Le danse.S/J.

There are a lot of really ugly looking swings on tour. No wonder all the injuries in golf at the elite level.

I wish that the quality of the sound was much better. I assume that this video was filmed in the early morning or late in the day because the picture is less than crisp. I have tried this tip on the practice tee,of walking up to the ball as you show and it produced remarkable results. Taking it into the game shortly after didn’t work as well due to course conditions such as ground contours. Nevertheless this tip keeps you more relaxed. 👨‍🦳👍🇨🇦
