I am at this strange level of doom skill where I can be annoying but not deadly with combos but am usually really good in those wild brawly close-quarters fights... still among my least favorite dps to play because I cant be bothered to put in the time to learn the movement and combos for realsies

Doom is a weird hero to get used to. oddly enough you can play around his counters pretty well, but in order to do that you need to rethink your entire engagement and sometimes even your priority target. the problem is that most people learn DF by learning "which combo works best" and they often autopilot.

As a doom main, I fully agree. It took me a long time to find generalised patterns of my counters, especially echo and pharah... If you know some tech, you can easily catch both of them out in the air. Nothing more satisfying than watching an enemy pick pharah or echo to counter, only to swap to cas after removing them from the air with a janky bounce or diag lol. You'd also think tracer is a threat as doom, but recall prediction is a lot easier than it looks, and so is blink prediction. Hog is easy enough if you bait hook, pressure him to generate some shield, deny the vape, and keep bullying. Honestly the biggest counter of doomfist for me is genji. My E never bloody hits, he always deflects my primaries after uppercut, and up close those 3 shurikens do so much damage.

I picked up Solider a while back on console after I switched my aim technique to "dual-zone", which is much better for tracking on a controller, and let me tell you: I melted through low-rank lobbies one after the other. I have never climbed so fast in such a short amount of time. Soldier is one of the best carry heroes in the game in my opinion

Completely agree on symmetra. It's hard to rank up with her specially with pharas echos and the type of comp she needs (brawl). charging your left click when you don't have an enemy/ally shield is hard asf. She allows you to focus purely on strategy and not so much on mechanics which I love it.

Completely disagree. U can easily play with ur rein and charge off tanks, not even a shield. TP is dumb stupid as u can just skip the choke enemies are holding. Symm is top3 easiest

@@Albixdd That's the thing. In low elos you generally see a lot of reins but a lot of them are not good they either push a lot and die or they are just behind the team all the time. In higher elos like high diamond master etc, people tend to play different tanks more often and shield is not required. So that's an issue for sym who needs a shield for keeping her beam active. You indirectly are talking about some dependency sym players have: they depend on their tanks, more than any other hero. Dependency is the opposite of "easy to rank up". She is hard to rank up because she excels in brawl comps. Zarya rein lucio moira cassidy/mei sym etc. She is not that good in other comps because besides her tp she has 0% movility and her utility is in close range. ONLY in close range so you must think all the time how to charge yourself and that depends on the map, your comp and the enemy comp. Again, thats not that easy, sym is a very dependent hero. Dependent heros are always hard to rank up, think of mercy, moira, lucio, sombra, etc. If you are saying ". TP is dumb stupid as u can just skip the choke enemies are holding" i must ask: what elo are you in? because that's not easy at all, watch harmony, stevoo, dyslexya. They dont just put the tp and f*ck it. They think exactly where and WHEN to put it. They coordinate with their teammates and place their turrets strategically. They know exactly what to do when they are 100% charged (which is extremely hard to do in high diamond and below, dont believe me? watch their streams youll see that A LOT of times, because 1) rein is not that played in higher ranks 2) even if you have rein, except pharas, echos, monkey, dva, zarya, baptist, lucio, etc, any comp that works in mid-high range is a direct counter to sym, because she cant charge herself in high range enemy comps) My english is not the best, i tried my best. But yeah. The bottom line is: Sym is hard to rank up. Generally speaking, if X hero has a lot of counters, is not that versatil, and its only good in 1 range (sym is good only in close range) + X depends on your allies/enemies picks Then this X hero is hard to rank up with. If you think she is just "put a tp and f*ck it": again, just watch any streamer, you are not going to reach diamond or master by doing that, you really need to use your brain, your strategy to do that. TP turrets is easly counterd by any hero if they see it, when to do it, how to do it, and where to do it is essential.

I usually like to play tank but torb is my go-to dps. He is truly amazing in low-middle rank due to his ability to take on bad snipers all day, enough sustain and damage to duel tanks and his turret being way more of a deterrent than it should realistically be. I have had people sacrifice their lives to kill the turret over me. And I mean the ult is just crazy powerful, as area control, an engage, counter engage or just to run out the overtime timer. I just wish more torbs would learn that you don't need to be nursing your turret all game haha

In my opinion this is important since for example I was a Master player when I played Ow1 and for me the best DPS to climb with would probably be tracer and widow for the high skill ceiling but of course since they have a very low skill floor it won't be recommended for bronzes or silvers.

She is widely understood because no one plays her correctly and is definitely hard to rank up with because your team tilt immediately if you start paying her. Genji has a far better ultimate and a primary fire that is far more useful at a further range. Also, his deflect can provide counterplay to some CC like flashbang, where as Doom's only counterplay to CC is simply "don't get hit by it."

And people continued to call Doomfist "broken" or "easy" till the end of OW1 not realizing or wanting to understand what you said at the beginning. He is a high skill, low reward hero. For sure the most hated Character in the game to the point where i even had teammate healers and tanks that refused to help me in some situations just for playing him. Such a fun character to play even with all the hard counters but kind of hated seeing all the people hating on him. Sad but also really happy about the OW2 changes and am hoping for him to get into a better spotlight.

Personally gotta disagree with sym and junkrat. With sym, yes she isn’t the easiest to use so sometimes she gets lower amounts of value, but in the slower paced matches that tend to occur in parts of the latter where people want to climb, sym can often be given enough time to charge up beam and fry the enemy team. That being said, I’d only put her a few slots higher than she is. As for junk though, junk is a really good climbing hero, especially on the latter. Some maps you can just pick him, and just win. Personally think he’s like a Top 5, maybe 6 climbing hero for dps.

@@Soggy-Mould Sojourn is essentially a different soldier. Trading out sustain and consistent damage, for higher burst damage and higher burst mobility. The ability for a Solider-type hero to oneshot anyone in the game is really, really powerful. However , the skill that takes to pull off would be what prevents her from being the easiest hero to rank up with

Holy shit this vid is farming views compared to the tank one. Plat take: The inner flanker in me wants to swap Cassidy with Hanzo. Cass is easy at everything but long range, while hanzo has more trouble dealing with flankers. Cass can just delete anyone in the roster by pressing 2 buttons looking in their general direction. But generally speaking I can see why the order is how it is especially if it's close.

I play Sombra and Symm and I find way easier to kill a Ashe than a Hanzo, when you dive a Ashe she panics may hit a shot or two but you CAN get away or take cover and poke her to death while Hanzo you get closer and you die, Sombra against Hanzo you have about 0.6 seconds to kill him, that's the time he needs to turn and log your head, you may say its easier to play Ashe, but its also WAY easier to counter play a Ashe.

I'm an engie main in TF2 thus im a torb main and cuz his gun is way harder to master than other projectile heroes;It actually made me a better hanzo ahahahha cuz Hanzo is so linear albeit projectile but he's basically Torb on easy mode and playing soldier in tf2 is leagues harder than landing a airshot on pharah.I find that if you played a lot of hours in TF2;Overwatch is Child's play.
