You can easily tell your daughter is no stranger to guns. I taught my daughters both to shoot at 8 years old. They were very good shots, and they were also mature enough to follow instructions. My son is still a good shooter and he was also taught from a young age. I think I still have him in some of my earlier videos. Great video, and great job by your daughter. All the best brother!!

Thank you fumasterchu12. She has been shooting for a long time and was doing indoor matches at 9. The problem was that once she became proficient, she started trying to mimic those that were shooting faster than they could shoot accurately. Had to get her away from that atmosphere for a bit.

Hi. My husband loves firearms and we keep a Glock in our home for protection. I am absolutely terrified of guns but I admit that I feel much safer knowing that we have added security in our home. I am not the best at racking the slide. From what I understand, all Glocks have a 17lb recoil spring, which seems heavy to me. I’m also on the Autism Spectrum, and the grip on the slide for a Glock is especially painful on my sensitive skin. (In a threatening situation, I doubt this will matter much to me, but as of now, practice racking the slide is quite uncomfortable and rough on my skin.) Thank you kindly for your explanations, especially being geared toward women. I don’t think there’s any shame in admitting that women and men are different and that we each have our own strengths and weaknesses. I am very grateful you made this video centered on women. Your video is respectful, helpful, and your young daughter being proficient in firearms is truly inspirational and gives me confidence to continue as a 30-year-old woman. Thank you for all of your time in helping me better learn to defend myself from threats.

When I saw your daughter, I said I gotta get better. I thought that I just had weak upper body strength , but I know I’m stronger than a 12 year old😂. For me, racking has been the hardest part of managing my EDC. I now love my p365 more bc of you both! Seeing your daughter sealed it for me. After viewing this, I got up and immediately went out and bought some snap caps and I’ve been practicing for about 45 minutes now and I want to thank y’all bc ‘I GOT IT !! I’m sharing with all my friends. Thanks for taking the time to make this great video, you’re helping so any people, even if they don’t tell you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!😊

It's good that you correctly pointed out it's much harder to rack the slide with the hammer forward. There are other videos of this type, hosted by women, that demonstrate the ease of manipulating the slide but the hammer is already cooked. Your daughter demonstrates the difficulty perfectly, but under a stressful situation it may be more difficult.

OK so I have to give you the feedback. I have a 29 year old son who is a gun enthusiast and he tried to help me figure out different ways to rack my 9. I mean, I’m 55 years old now and don’t have the strength I did as a young woman. So I told him about your video. He came over yesterday, and ask if I had tried it yet. I replied not yet, so he takes his 45 off his hip and hands it to me. I tried it, and it worked! I was so happy! He then went to the car and got his Canak 9 mil. It’s smaller than mine. I was able to handle it too. You just don’t know how happy I am. I also feel a little stupid for not figuring it out for myself. But thank you again… 💪😊

The easiest slide I have ever found to pull is the 7lb slide spring in the RIA 22TCM pistols. (The USA version of a 5.7 that is 223 Rem based and 2100 FPS) I found a commander size RIA 1911, 17 round model for a relative that was elderly, and had his wrist fused. (He had worn his wrist joint out from damage being a union carpenter until right before nail guns came about.) It was the easiest slide to rack we could find. Its 7Lb slide spring was incredible! I couldn't believe how soft it is! Its super smooth, the near full length slides were like butter too :) The ammo was super inexpensive compared to 5.7 by a ton. Like 1200 rounds shipped for $399.99! It can be reloaded easily too for pennies. Like less than 15cents IFIRC. The steel frame gun helps with recoil quite a bit as well! A commander length (4.25") was the one for him. I need to have him compare it to the new "Lite Rack" Poly striker fired pistols, but I doubt they are easier.

That said, at school, or in any gun-free zone where she can’t pack heat, I sincerely hope you’ve “armed” her with other skills. I have spent thousands of dollars and thousands of hours learning hand-to-hand combat conditioning with many tactical tools. Take it from me, a tactical whip, available for $26 on Amazon, combined with comprehensive Krav Maga training makes a girl very hard to kill. God bless.

little out of the ordinary having a kid do this but in any case .....the best guns to buy easy to rack are ruger security 380 and smith and wesson shield ez 380.. you might want to mention that in your videos rather than go to this long list of guns not suitable for some folks for example elderly people ................
