Hi Josh. I've read a lot on the ClubTouareg forum about cleaning the sunroof drains, but this is the first time I see it attempted. I thought that it wasn't advisable to use compressed air though, as it can cause the elbow connector by the fuse box on the side of the dash to get disconnected, and as I understand it's not easy to get it back together. Oh and that T1 with the amazing interior. I love it. I hope you will someday either rebuild the V8 or replace it to get that car running again. It really deserves to come back to life.

I think low PSI without a perfect seal on the drain will be fine but I’ll let you know if I notice anything weird.

For info - Another option to clean the drains if you don't have a compressor is to use some weedeater/edgetrimmer line. Also remember to clean out the rear drains, they tend to leak into the spare wheel area.

Dude my spare tire area were you put the def has water in there. I noticed that the first time I put the def in for the first time. I couldn’t figure out how the water got in. Glad I came across this video. I need to clean out the drains on my 12 it’s got the full sun roof.

Any videos on how to clear the drains near the dash?

The water inside , could be from two places:Тhe sunroof or drainage . Remove the front mud fenders and than you will see a rubber pimple , clean it up real nice and you are good to go ;) .

Is this the area that runs from the windshield? I think that’s where my issue is as I keep getting water. In my chassis somehow.

Was the sunroof leaking?
@djkremer3 жыл бұрын
@@spottedeuros1529 no, just the drains. I wouldn’t have taken it all out but I couldn’t get that dense foam padding to dry out. It was difficult to dry even when removed!

I wish you made a video of that. I’m having that issue and I’ve no idea how to get the water out. I can’t find a drain plug or anything.
