I love how simple and straight to the point this video is. Lighting could have been better but the video was made in 2013 and this guy probs didn't have any professional lights back then. I like that he explained what he was gonna do before he did it, so you know what to expect when following along and memorizing. Also he did it slowly so no need to slow down the video or anything. Big respect

The tutorial is to show you how to flip the corners to remove the parity. After that, it would the yellow cross in its correct orientation then solve it like a 3x3. I like this youtube channel coz its the only channel i see so far who explains clearly what is he doing before/ while doing it. So apart from memorizing the algorithm, you have extra context that helps you remember
@hagr1t10 жыл бұрын
for all you guys that have diagonally corner parity, just keep one of the incorrect corners in the bottom right and do what he did. then just fix the cross and keep on solving as usual. i didn't see this posted anywhere so i thought i would mention it :)
@obcraig10 жыл бұрын
good tip, thanks!
@starblaze581310 жыл бұрын
Whenever I do that, the two diagonal corners that were correct become incorrect, and the incorrect ones become the correct ones. So I'm continuing the same thing of switching between the two diagonals.

I too have a problem. I tried your trick on solving the corners, so I made it until when there were 2 corner that are in the correct place and two corners in the wrong place. So I tried the exact same algorithm tons of times, but sadly it stays the same. Please help me... Until now, I still do not managed to solve 4x4 rubik's cube because of this. So after a while watching your videos, I decided to restart them all up by pulling the pieces off and re-arrange and solved. After that, I tried to retry the algorithms again and again, but it doesn't seemed to be solved.. If anyone knows please do help.. I have no idea how to solve it. Please reply :3

Ok so I'm really close to solving this thing but I've run into a corner parity i can't figure out. I have the full black/white, and almost everything correct. My problem is that I have 2 corners that are out of alignment. My yellow red and green corner and my yellow orange and blue corner are in each others places. You covered corner parity when they are both in the same face, but what do I do when they are on opposite sides of the cube? Please help I really want to get this thing solved! TY!

how do you know if your 4x4 rubik's cube has a parity?
@albertoflores39 жыл бұрын
ok, so I get to this part but no matter how many times I try and run this algorythim I'm unable to align the actual corners. I either get all for corners in the wrong place, or I get two corners (which I place in the back) and two that are in the incorrect place. When I do the algorithm and then fix the cross again, they then go back to being all out of place (the corners, except for one). What am I doing wrong? Also I notice that in this video in the final step you rotate the top two layers but in the linked video showing the original solving you only rotate the layer right below the top instead of both at the same time. Either way, I tried both but to no avail its not working. On the bright side, at last I haven't messed the rest of the cube which means I must be doing something right...right? Please help =)
