I wish I could provide a link. As it is I had to borrow this from an old (Oster brand?) stand mixer from my parents. Second-hand stores seem a likely place to find one.

You can buy Adams Natural Unsalted peanut butter from Smuckers online, too. If you store the unopened jar upside down for a couple of days before you start to mix it, it will mix much easier. Storing the mixed jar in the refrigerator will not require further mixing.

Yeah, that works well. I've also tried some rolling around. During summer I've kept a jar in the car to see if the driving around would help. Not really. My friends have a 5th wheel and every time they go camping, just the rattling of the camper mixes the PB for them. Odd...

Adams has Hydroginated oils, you won't catch me eating it, I buy only Smuckers Natural 100% peanuts with just a little salt, too bad its not sea salt but I eat 2 or 3 jars of peanut butter a week~ along with eggs and hemp powder my number one source for protein~

Old school Oster stand mixer I think. It belongs to my parents.

Prior to stirring and refrigerating, turn the jar upside down for about 10-15 minutes. This allows the oil to rise up toward the bottom of the jar. Some say it takes a couple days but I found that after only 15-20 minutes a significant amount of oil has moved to the bottom. Oh, and the PB has to be at room temperature. You didn't hear this from me and I don't recommend it but I, gently, slammed the jar on the counter a couple times while it was upside down. If you break the jar, it's not on me. It really decreases the amount of stirring required.

I wish I could find that same dough hook myself! This is actually from a very old stand mixer at my parents house. I think the brand might have been Oster or Sunbeam. I've since started to use regular hand mixer attachments because that's all I could find that would work and it seems to do just fine

Careful with doing it this way. If the shaft of the beater slips in the chuck, you're gonna get steel glitter like shards into your peanut butter. I once had to throw away a freshly opened jar of peanut butter just for this reason. This only works if your chuck can get tight enough to where the beater doesn't slip in the chuck. Honestly, it's much safer to just use the mixer since the beater shaft is keyed and can't slip while the mixer is running.

Good point! At the time I made this video my hand mixer was just too fast and would make a mess. I've since upgraded to a higher-quality mixer that has enough power to mix and still be slow enough not to make a mess. This is what I have and it works great: amzn.to/3WndGJ4

@@MyLegitReviews Yes unfortunately, I tried this with a cake batter electric mixer and wasn't thinking. When I fired up mixer not holding jar of Smuckers peanut butter, well the jar went round and round rapidly and mostly oil from peanut butter flew out all around. Took three washes and stain remover to get the stains out of my jeans, and had to wipe off microwave, toaster oven and counter. I still mix with mixer, only now I hold jar tight.
