Hello, I bought a C-type probe because I wanted to measure small elements with thin walls (e.g. a 2 mm thick saw cutter made of HSS steel). I calibrated the probe on a reference block that originally comes with a D-type probe in the set. When measuring on small or thin high-speed steel cutting tools, the C-type probe shows false results. the cutter should show approximately 60HRC and the result does not even fit into the HRC scale (it is lower). How to properly measure a C-type probe? Is there any movie about this? [PL] Witam, kupiłem sondę typu C, ponieważ chciałem zmierzyć małe elementy o cienkich ściankach (np. piła o grubości 2 mm ze stali HSS). Sonda kalibrowałem na bloku referencyjnym, który oryginalnie znajduje się w zestawie z sondą typu D. Podczas pomiaru małych lub cienkich narzędzi skrawających ze stali szybkotnącej sonda typu C pokazuje fałszywe wyniki. frez powinien pokazywać około 60HRC, a wynik nawet nie mieści się w skali HRC (jest niższy). Jak prawidłowo zmierzyć sondę typu C? Czy jest jakiś film na ten temat?

Can this work to check the HRC of a knife? If the knife doesn't have enough mass, can you clamp it to a large piece of steel?

It's not suitable for a thin knife, but thick may available.
