Three things I learned in a prospecting class, back in 1978: 1. Gold is where YOU find it 2. You get back what you put in; or as the instructor said chances of getting rich with a gold pan are slim to none. 3. When out prospecting, especially in abandoned mines; look for artifacts and above all enjoy the experience of being outdoors.

I used to be a consultant on project in Malaysia and one such project was a potential gold mine. I had to arrange for core samples and testing. I managed to get some rock samples that contained gold. Carried them around for many years..lol. I still have them in its raw form. I guess one day I'll find out the purity of my little sample. Thanx for all the entertainment and information.
