slightly confused here (and it may be due to patch) but you have cyclic on your breaker but youre soul bursting on the ninja, that doesnt appear to proc the breaker 600 damage buff stack

I'm struggling to find the answer to this too. I've run Stymied on 500 with max dragon trials a few hundred times now and still got trash drops. At least I pulled a few pieces from the exchange shop. But it's slow going. I actually got a few lucky drops on the Bahamut DLC fight with Bikke on the ship. But they were low level trash items. I just need to steal the effects off them. I'm not strong enough to run it, but that one fight with all the bosses from the last DLC is supposed to be great for gear farming at 500.

Do the second last mission in the latest dlc where you have to fight 5 bosses and have as much luck as you can on your secondary job. Soul bast the boss with your secondary job to get better gear drop. Even the 4 stars purple gear drops comes with great chaos effects. You will get around 40 to 50 pieces of gears each time.

For team mates you can use the 600% liberator (they will give your free stats) and you can just make them as tanky as possible to draw enemies attention. People play with only Jack because if he is alone all enemies have less HP As for Breaker AoE range, don't forget to switch to Barbarian it has way more range

Also, I've been getting between 8k and 40k dragon treasures when farming the ???? place outside of the rift that has the 51 monsters but I don't understand the algo, do you? This last one might not matter as I can just do rifts with bahamut nerfs but it would be nice to understand it. Also, do you get more monster quest points in the rift if you are trying to increase the affinity buffs by having a party member 'and' yourself being the desired job? Does the berserk effect up improve the adrenaline skill from berserker?

Have no idea if you know that but you can reroll on your gilgamesh accessory drop by queting into the main menu and entering again to tha game just avoid triggering the auto save.

I have 3 other questions. If you and a party member are the same class, do you get double points from the monster quests? Also, every time you go through a portal inside a portal, do the benefits improve? The information box suggests not but the tips say yes and personally, even after 4-5 links, I still don't notice anything, maybe what I expect to get isn't what items I should be expecting. Lastly, can you get high level "near-death" effects in the rift? I feel like I've never found anything above yellow or orange (not even tier 1)

What did you do for the ninja master points? Hopefully you still play and remember what it was. I just got to the labyrinth/rift dlc with my brother and I’m enjoying this game. It’s just hard to find guides written instead of videos and so far yours seem the best I’ve seen.

Only ones you really need to focus on are lightbringer duration, increase mp limit boost rate and soul burst mp recovery. Those are the important ones. Lightbringer duration carries onto your breaker when you switch and the higher the duration the more attacks you can take from your invincible skill

How do you grind the affinities on your equipment? Did you wait for the proper combos of affinities or combined 2 through Fuses and eventually upgraded the values by Smithy? Easy grind for Anima crystal and manikin for me was to reach lufenian difficult, after that. Active all trial of dragon king until max (XI) Go to Sunken shrine and enter mission i forgot what but the boss are Marlboro & Hill Gigas. use Mage and ninja - Mage accursed champion for aeroga and push all the boss until fall. Why mage? Because if you hold R2 it charged slowly if you lost Mp (all dragon king active so all armor effect negate) - Ninja utsukemi to avoid being hit by mob until you find black card. After have many Manikin, you can fuse all you need for gear. Even if your rat tail or anima crystal stocked out, manikin replace them. Sorry for long reply. Good luck👍

I started fusing mine today. You will need to run missions with high Bahamut Trial rank to get gear which can have Chaos Effects on it, up to the rank that you’re currently running. So if you’re running a VI Bahamut Trial ranked mission, a VI Chaos Effect will be the highest level chaos effect you’ll receive. I’ve been farming Ebon Memories: The Warrior’s Despair (with accessory that drops there that makes me do around 40% more damage to Bikke to farm easier). Keep farming and hope to get gear with the chaos effects he said to get, such as increased damage, reduced charge time and reduced mp cost for Zantestuken. Then you fuse those effects onto your main gear. I think it’s the Tonberry in the rift that unlocks Fuse. There’s two ways to do this I’ve tried, one is farm a high trial rank at a lower level like 300. It will be a lot easier and faster as you’re just there for chaos effects, BUT it will be more expensive to fuse it on your main gear because it costs more crystals etc the greater the level disparity between the gears being fused together. OR you can farm around your level like 500 but you may need to lower the trial rank lower as it becomes much more difficult with a high trial rank at that level. You’ll have lower level chaos effects dropping but it’s much cheaper to fuse as the gear they’re on is similar item level to what you’re using, if you’re already wearing ilvl 500 gear of course. I really like this game and im now playing in this dlc. It is hard to make a build by yourself to clear rifts, without understanding the basic mechanics. The game doens't give enough clear information in my opinion. I like the breaker and saw this guide so i thought let's try this out. My problem is to generate mp fast at the beginning of a fight and build up mp fast when for whatever reason i run out. In the rifts alot of fights with bosses start very fast. Too fast for me to get enough mp for buffs, lightbringer and to use Zantetsuken. Using the chain cancel method goes way to slow for me. The boss will kill me before i am ready to fight by then. Im i doing something wrong in how i build op mp at the start? Do i need to use a certain casting order at the start? Maybe the solution is to use high ethers? I have around 60% cost reduction on all three buffs (without void knight affinity) I have around 90% cost reduction on zantetsuken. I have all the affinity's in this build for Breaker and Ninja. Also i use the basic lightbringer for now, because i find i can survive better. Im playing as a noob so for now this seems best:)

Hi buddy I just started trying these builds out and I’m having the same issues with mana at the start of boss fights. But from watching another video, it seems you can use your Ethers you get from the Shop in the Rift to increase your mp limit and your current mp BEFORE entering the portal so you’re maxed out when you enter. Basically gives the same end-result as Chain Cancelling then using a cube to regenerate your mp back. This will of course require Gil to buy them but it’s better than nothing. I will try it to see if it still works but it will solve our problem.

@Deanix I understand the struggle, the best thing I've been able to do was use was the Ninja Tool that let's you endure 3 hits before taking damage (Can't remember the name, it's the ability you get while pressing right on the stick) and then have your teammates agro the boss to get its attention off of you. Finally get a fair distance away and chain cancel the shurikan over and over. It takes juuuust a sec but at 4 bars of mana, you get haste(Assuming you followed this build as far as the Ninja Affinities goes), which makes the overall process faster, and with the 3 hits of invincibility, you have just enough leeway to get max mp relatively quickly I feel. Either that or use a Mega Potion before each fight 😅

Lightbringer, Chaosbringer, and Dimension Bringer are all considered the same thing. So if I have any stats that say Lightbringer duration or damage during Lightbringer. It affects all of them, whichever one you use.

Farming for the right affinities already takes too long and finding gear effects for builds are nearly impossible that I just give up. Anyone got a tips to find gear effects faster?

You don't have to use all the powerful effects at first, you can just go with the basic ones you can get from the smithy (strength, charge damage, near death damage...etc), you also don't have to use lv500 equipment either, you can one shoot a lot of bosses with far lower equipment/affinities/effects. Start by making a weaker set, and farm what you can with it then work your way up adding better stuff as you go. You can get higher chaos effects by farming lower level bosses while activating many bahamut challenges. Abuse the Fuse mechanic later

Most caster builds originally required chaosbringer for infinite MP. Now you need a lot of cost reduction effects on your gear to make it work. Take any of Jayz caster builds and add in a lot of cost reduction effects via fusion (magic sigil iirc for sage)

He is getting most of his breaker affinity from Mastery Points he’s put into breaker, he just needs the one piece to get the last 200% or so. Because his Breaker is level 200, he gets even more points to spend.

Did you find out? You can press Y (or whatever your job change button is) after using an action to finish the animation and cancel the end of it which is quicker than letting the full animation play out. So Zantestuken then Y to change to Ninja then Y again to change back to Breaker to Zantestuken again. This will give you the damage buff from Samurai and increase max MP limit from summoner. Look up a video or better read in game tips in Battle teachings IV I think it’s found.

You need gilgamesh to show up in the labyrinth hub. Talk to him and he opens a special rift. Clear it and he gives you a random special accessory that can only come from him. Lion heart is one of those possible options

This is a random reward from doing the Rift that gilgamesh spawns after floor 21. Each time you complete one of those rifts he gives you one accessory with a random passive on it. Apparently you can save scum it by completing the rift, getting the accessory - if it does not have the passive you want then return to title and reload and he will give you a new one. YMMV as I have never tried this myself

And how do u get Invicible Accessory ? What mission or in the rift fighting Gilgamesh at what floor ? If it's in the rift, like me already achieved 100th floor, then playing the lower floor, won't our items and gils that we got in the 100th floor loose ?

@@heruoktafiandikusuma8704 You will just have to keep going through the rifts that Gilgamesh spawns as he is the only one that can you that ring

It works. Im a real noob in this game and i got it rolling just fine and within a few days after starting. What i did in short: - Farm gear (even extra mode is fine) so you have affinitys you can use in fusing - Fuse gear so you have the right affinity's. - Do not understate the importance of the secondary job, you need the main and secondary to get it rolling - Keep an eye out for gear with zantestsuken boosts (cost and dps where my main focus at start) You will still feel rusty but you can start clearing rifts without needing extra mode. - Next start to focus on cost reduction stats for your buffs and Zantetsuken Probably not the best way to do this, but this worked for me. Best tip i have is fusing is your best friend.

"Play breaker" is not a build, and my builds easily dry start on 100.

Guys how do affinities stack exactly, you get the affinities only from the active job or also from the subjob? also isn't stupendously hard to get the affinities and the abilities that you want on a single gear or am i missing something here?

Just by having a sub job, it gives 60% affinity to your main job and vice versa. That’s all the affinity you can get from your other job not in use. Also people are farming lots of gears then fusing them together to get the exact affinities and chaos effects they want. Else it could take months to find gear with the exact stats you want.
