The setting "Allocate History Per Pane" makes the render slow and power hungry. Just give it time to render - it may take 5+ minutes to render an image.

@@digital-spaces Unfortunately, even when rendering at low levels, my entire computer freezes. Even the mouse does not work. I waited for about 1 hour, but it did not unfreeze again.
