In 1997 I had a contract valeting ex Strathclyde Council, Renault Masters, in white. Part of the deal was t-cutting the paint that had seen nothing but soap and water for years. Now I'm old I won't be doing that again but I do want to start an hobby/retirement business doing paint restoration. Things have moved on so much that I'm starting from the beginning again and your videos are excellent tutorials.

Back in the early 90’s I had a red 88 205CTi, within a few months the paint started to oxidise and turn that ugly pink colour. Not knowing I bought a T Cut and tried to polish it out but no joy. A few months later it was booked in for an interior valet ( not really needed I was a bit anal about my cars back then ) and when I went to collect it later that day the guy commented on the paint. I explained the T Cut I’d tried and ultimately failed to rectify the damage. I’ve never forgotten what came next, he got some AutoGlym polish and poured a bit on the bonnet, picked up his polisher and made a circular motion about 2 foot in diameter. After 30 secs he stopped, got a rag and wiped away the excess polish to leave a hugely glossy patch on my bonnet. I was gobsmacked, immediately told him to do the whole car. It came back like a brand new car, inside and out. It had covered 37k miles by then but looked showroom standard. I remember going to look at a Vauxhall Calibre in it and the salesman was drooling over it asking me to sell it. You did an amazing job, this Corsa looks a great first car for someone who I bet was thrilled to receive it.

I'm always independent but having a good run with their products as they are really good for my business. I'm sort of jumping out of the reviews gradually so only doing a few reviews as I want to try new things with the channel. Companies sending free stuff doesn't interest me as it's not worth my time. Yum discount code helps fund the channel as I make naff all from advertising and the channel cannot go forward without making commission off companies because I lose 2 days of money just on one video which would be lucky to make 10 quid. Without support from discounts or small promotions I wouldn't even exist 😞. running a competition next week to give away some goodies so stay tuned 😃

Is this ceramic spray something similar like Extra Gloss from Autoglym? I love to use Extra Gloss, but.. I spend like 2 hours cleaning my car and if next day is rainy.. I have that rain droplets marks which is freaking annoying! Even if i will go to car wash for shampoo (i think its stated on the Gloss bottle that shine should be back after shampooing), but well.. shine is gone! So I have love hate relationship with this. because after applying it looks like brand new car, but one day later and its not the same :(
@epicautomotivedetailing4 жыл бұрын
Yeh the shine doesnt last long with autoglym. Have you tried using a good Sio2 Quick detailer instead? They easier to apply but have some elements of a ceramic spray sealant

Awesome video 😀👍 if i wanted to detail my new car when I pick it up (I’m an enthusiast not a detailer) can I use the meguiars compound without applying a separate polish afterwards before applying the protection? The paint colour is a metallic grey.
@epicautomotivedetailing3 жыл бұрын
I would personally apply something finer after a compound. Or alternatively use something like rupes uno protect. It's easy and ticks all the boxes 👌
@darrengough44003 жыл бұрын
@@epicautomotivedetailing awesome, thanks for that. Will probably use a light polish after then as I already have yum ceramic spray ready as my protectant. It’s a rather large vehicle and I will be doing it by hand so was hoping I could just use the compound 😂

Sonax brilliant shine detailer is a great product to use. Lasts ages on the paint work. It’s not the easiest to use but does last ages.

Yeah it's brilliant to use. I love an easy no faff product sorry for very late reply. Catching up 😬

Great vid once again mate,how about (if ya working at home this is or when convenient)a car gazebo?one that is quick and easy to put up if there is one that is,nothing is ever easy

I don't have space in my van and but when I get the new EpicMobile I will definitely be getting one. It's weird because I've kind of made do for 15 years without one and when it pisses down with rain I tend to go home and edit videos so it's probably a blessing or I would be cleaning all day. I need a good excuse 😂 Thanks for the kind words.

Not a car detailer but gonna jump in here having worked with gazebos at various markets a fair bit over the years... don't get one! The only decent ones are super chunky aluminium leg jobbies, they are lethal in the wind. Imagine a big old chunk of aluminium smacking into a car door... Great vids btw man, I'm a noob detailer (home, not professional, just got some time over lockdown haha)

What is your opinion on using all in one polishes. It works for me here in states and it brings in more business and revenue.

Love them. Their quick and easy. I still need to try rupes Uno next month and few other bits. I did have zaino which was very good but in darker colours it did leave smears in paint so had to get them out. Thanks for watching CCD

Great video, what a transformation! I reckon I'd pick GT Ceramic Sealant as my go-to for gloss. Just used in on my car recently and the finish was crazy good. I love Meguiar's Ultimate Compound though, it's the first compound I ever bought and I still go back to it.
