In 1997 I had a contract valeting ex Strathclyde Council, Renault Masters, in white. Part of the deal was t-cutting the paint that had seen nothing but soap and water for years. Now I'm old I won't be doing that again but I do want to start an hobby/retirement business doing paint restoration. Things have moved on so much that I'm starting from the beginning again and your videos are excellent tutorials.

You know what Dave, I think its proper refreshing that someone (you!) finally admits that not every "detail" needs to end up with a flawless finish! To me it's about managing customer expectations and delivering on your word. @@epicautomotivedetailing Hi Dave, I was the first detailer to bring ArtdeShine's range to Finland and they are the guys to look out for. Graphene is not everyone's cup of tea due to the price but I have a fair few clients of mine that are super delighted with it. The top coats are amazing as well. Along with that they have a definitely great ceramic coating- Ayicon. Graphene coatings can be a bit finicky to put on, depends on temp/humidity as you can get alot of high spots. But saying all that, the results are outstanding. You can find some pics on my website www.kivistocarwash.com

Back in the early 90’s I had a red 88 205CTi, within a few months the paint started to oxidise and turn that ugly pink colour. Not knowing I bought a T Cut and tried to polish it out but no joy. A few months later it was booked in for an interior valet ( not really needed I was a bit anal about my cars back then ) and when I went to collect it later that day the guy commented on the paint. I explained the T Cut I’d tried and ultimately failed to rectify the damage. I’ve never forgotten what came next, he got some AutoGlym polish and poured a bit on the bonnet, picked up his polisher and made a circular motion about 2 foot in diameter. After 30 secs he stopped, got a rag and wiped away the excess polish to leave a hugely glossy patch on my bonnet. I was gobsmacked, immediately told him to do the whole car. It came back like a brand new car, inside and out. It had covered 37k miles by then but looked showroom standard. I remember going to look at a Vauxhall Calibre in it and the salesman was drooling over it asking me to sell it. You did an amazing job, this Corsa looks a great first car for someone who I bet was thrilled to receive it.

I like this. A very down to earth tutorial on how to get great results as a DIYer on the drive way without a facility and all the kit other people use. I’m glad I chose right when I bought my compound, I also got the megs polish. I got a DA, clay bars and pads from Amazon which didn’t cost much over £50 total. Hopefully I’ll get these results following this video with my supplies when I restore the white paint on a fiat I recently bought. @@epicautomotivedetailing you're welcome! I have the ultimate compound and have used it - by hand - on my car and got great results. I am thinking of starting a part-time mobile valeting business - will do this alongside my regular job - as I really enjoy valeting / detailing...always have and still do. Your videos are real and honest - 1 of many reasons I watch them - keep up the EXCELLENT WORK and look forward to the next video!

Second time I've watched this video, Dave. Tbh, I'm even more impressed this timeby what you achieved than I did the first. Incredible result with minimal equipment and time. To answer your question: I'd say I'd go with The Last Coat ceramic sealant if I could have just one product for shining a car forever. Pricey stuff, but very durable with incredible gloss and slickness.

Just a question. I use Autoglym professional plastic trim restorer gel which is silicone free, not perfect but does a decent job and holds up well. But i like the look of the Epic trim restorer, which is better in your opinion. Would just like your opinion because the Epic restorer is expensive where i am and don't want to shell out money if what i have is just as good. Thanks in advance.

@epicautomotivedetailing
@epicautomotivedetailing 4 жыл бұрын
I'm always independent but having a good run with their products as they are really good for my business. I'm sort of jumping out of the reviews gradually so only doing a few reviews as I want to try new things with the channel. Companies sending free stuff doesn't interest me as it's not worth my time. Yum discount code helps fund the channel as I make naff all from advertising and the channel cannot go forward without making commission off companies because I lose 2 days of money just on one video which would be lucky to make 10 quid. Without support from discounts or small promotions I wouldn't even exist 😞. running a competition next week to give away some goodies so stay tuned 😃

Is this ceramic spray something similar like Extra Gloss from Autoglym? I love to use Extra Gloss, but.. I spend like 2 hours cleaning my car and if next day is rainy.. I have that rain droplets marks which is freaking annoying! Even if i will go to car wash for shampoo (i think its stated on the Gloss bottle that shine should be back after shampooing), but well.. shine is gone! So I have love hate relationship with this. because after applying it looks like brand new car, but one day later and its not the same :(
