I find that a High Pass at 100hz and a Low Pass around 7k on the Cab block, really helps to tame some stuff. But I really dig the 3 band eq thing. I’m gonna give that a shot!

I like to do this when mixing with Bass...let the Bass fill in those low freqs and let guitar fill in its higher freqs. However, when playing just guitar I don't like it on

I do the same - essentially creating a tilt filter. I usually use 700 hz as that is the frequency used in the tonelux tilt eq. Bump and subtract the same amount (as you suggested). I wish they just threw a tilt eq filter in the unit though.
