Love this guys videos. I very much appreciate that it’s not a “dumbed down” version of an explanation. I’m no electrical engineer but not a beginner either and these videos and references are extremely helpful and educational. Thank you.

The that run to my mind is that I thought your going to show how to upgrade your fan but still same motor will be use. Nice video

Hi bro ,i have 14.8v Lipo battery and 30a esc which motor is high speed 2200kv or 1000kv motor

With the jet fan brand do you have to run the front lip or can I run the fan unit with out the plastic or fiberglass front lip
@RCexplained3 жыл бұрын
All fans of this nature require the lip if the airplane does not have ducting right to the fan case. Otherwise thrust will drop significantly.

Can I put two 64mm edf 3900kv’s 4s on a 6s battery
@benpavik9723 жыл бұрын
If the motor and esc you have says 4s then you will burn it out by running a 6s. It's significantly more power

Hey good video, what are those Jets you show at the beginning of the video?

RCexplained Why model Gas jet engines produce more thrust than EDFs the same diameter ? Could an EDF reach the same thrust that a Gas jet with a powerful compact electric motor ?
@RCexplained4 жыл бұрын
Jet turbine engines have a very high exhaust gas speed that is near impossible to achieve with an electric motor.

@@RCexplained That's because the energy added in the compressor and the combustion chamber that then is transformed into velocity in the nozzle ? It's not due to the RPM right ? because both have similar max RPM (70000-80000) ?

@@gonzalomorenoandonaegui2052 search for the "meredith effect". yes. its all about the HEAT. hot air wants to expand. you cant get that from an EDF. or a nitro DF... even though they do add a bit of heat, rpm is limited.

@@RCexplained that's because the gas expelled by an EDF is just air that gained kinetic energy, while a turbine expells the gases 'created' at the moment of the combustion at a high volumetric ratio
