@CircusNormal First take in to consideration the amount you need to hit to the hole with elevation. So if it is 5 inches above then move the marker 5 feet past the hole. Second take in to consideration the green speed which you can find in the caddie notebook. Deduct the percentage for slow (10%) medium (20%) fast (30%) tournament (40%). You will ALWAYS deduct the green speed. Even if the hole is below you and you are already pointing before the hole.

Bravo for posting this! I don't how or where you got the inch to foot and percentage rates for this game, but dam if there not perfect. I was going crazy trying to find/figure out some kind of system for the putting in this game. I easily missed 95% of my putting. After your info here I now land 95% of my putting. Showed me how the putting engine in this game is extremely faulty unless you know these rules and is the deciding factor in whether you'll be able to play and enjoy this game or not..

Hey, looking for help with putting in this game. Most puts I make go short and left and I can’t figure out why. I just mastered and beat 2009 and as I’m learning 2012 (mostly the same controls) I can’t put. What am I missing? IMO it has to be the way I’m moving the swing stick back and the follow through. I’m aiming correctly, using the correct power so what’s the trick with the putting swing? Slow? Fast? Slow back-fast forward? Appreciate any help

@DreadX22 sorry for the late response..you need to click the start button when in game, and go to caddy book, the green speed is the course conditions speed

@TN79 you need to press circle (b for xbox) to go to caddie (zooms out to the hole) and from there you can move the yellow arrow by using the d-pad

@CircusNormal figure the distance you would like to hit it based on elevation first. Then take OFF 10,20,30% of it...so on slow greens, if you want to hit 10 feet, take off 10% and hit it 9 feet. and to find the course conditions, click start and go to your caddy book

what i do, when the circle is Green or Red, i aim the marker in the center of the circle when the circle is Yellow, i aim the marker around the edge of the circle works most of the time

Zachary Horton I used your method with the circles and it worked Great my putting improved 1000 percent. I did have to use a lot of calculations just focus on the break. Thanks

Hey mate, if your using the toggle (joystick) you need to flick it up at the end... So pull the joystick down and when it hits the yellow flick it up. That is all

How do you stop the yellow bar at the striking point? Seems to me with the joystick, if I stop at that point nothing happens and it appears as a practice swing. But in your video looks to me like you stop and then it putts. Do you click down on the stick or something. Just having a hard time figuring the putting on this game. Also seems it's almost impossible to get a percentage hit without using the 3-click option.

Desperately need help. Need help or tips. Have 2 million skill points, amateur level, skill meter stopped at 85-90% on every ability and can't go any further for some reason.

I have to say, I'm not a fan of the putting mechanics of this game. On slow/soft greens you should have to hit the putt harder, not softer. It doesn't feel natural or intuitive. I've got Tiger 02,03,04,05,06,07,08,09 but not 10 or 11..... when did this style of putting come in?

And hang on - the maths don't make sense. In the third putt, Fast Greens, you said take off 30% off 27ft... 10% of 27 is 2.7... 3 x 2.7 = 8.1 so 30% off 27 is = 18.9, but in the video you aimed it at 22 ft which is about 20%.... WTF?
