I spent about 2 years in Cairo Egypt and met many Sudanese there. I was completely taken back by how kind they were to me. My Sudanese’s friend’s mother would make breakfast, lunch, & dinner for me everyday. She made me feel very welcome. I have a lot of respect and admiration for Sudanese people. I was born in Kenya and am half Dutch in the Netherlands where I grew up my bestfriend she was from Ethiopia and her name was Abeba she and her mother were so beautiful 🥰 like my mom from east Africa. But her mother named Alem allways made injera with a ground beef stew it was so delicious.. Wow this is very similar to Indian dishes! We have roti/chapati which is a flat bread that we eat with very similar veggie and meat dishes, and we use a lot of spice in our dishes as well! Turmeric is a must in each dish! 😂
