I feel like you could also split East Cary into two distinct areas - North and South. Everything South of Cary Parkway feels very different than the Northern part, which makes sense considering how a lot of the Southern part was acquired by Cary throughout the 80s, 90s, and 00s. I remember the Stop Cary campaign, which was especially popular in Dutchman Downs, because so many neighborhoods didn't want to change from Raleigh to Cary.

I live in the Preston neighborhood in West Cary and it has really grown a lot the past 23 years and a lot of development.

Does it seem like the market in Cary has recently changed? It seemed like there was very low inventory and houses selling within days a few months ago; now there seems to be much more inventory, and houses seem to be staying on market longer.

Great questions! There is actually less inventory in Cary year over year (477 homes in April 22 compared to 312 in April 23). But average days on market is twice as long compared to last year. So less homes being added in 2023 which makes sense with rates being higher people dont want to move from their lower rate. Though in our experience, the move in ready single family homes are still flying off the market in just a few days in Cary. So less inventory, but they are sitting a little longer than this time last year. Thanks for watching!
