I love how midway through the song it changes up to a depressing melody and gets more violent and speeds up.

I love the "28... Later" series! I am still hoping Danny Boyle brings forth "Months"! And the way he used this song in "Days" was so perfect for the scenes where Jim discovered London to be empty!
@Booyaka9000 Жыл бұрын
@@mrconfusion87 28 Weeks later sucked after the intro-- just poorly written characters doing dumb things. I mean, dumb stuff like Rose Byrne (love Rose Byrne!) being a Major in the army, yet pretty much not knowing how a gun works. The helicopter using it's rotor to mow a small group of infected as it levitates along the ground instead of crashing and burning. That intro, was brilliant!! The rest? Just garbage. It's probably for the best that 28 months later is stuck in development hell.

It's ten minutes of a guy walking through an abandoned, post-apocalyptic London. It's amazing because instead of using a computer, they actually went and shot in the early hours of the morning for 5 minutes every day, and got all these amazing shots of one of the biggest cities in the world, completely empty. Then this song creeps up on you and makes it even better.

My friend played me this song whilst I was high and we just sat there in silence and appreciated it to the end. It was a fantastic experience. And I just felt so euphoric with shivers down my spine the whole time. I just found it again now, after hearing it for the first time about a month ago. Upon hearing the guitar riff that comes in at 0:17 I got major goosebumps. A fantastic musical journey.

Thoughts about life, beauty, the world...things that you can't find time to think about till you turn up the volume and open up your mind. I sit listening to song after song, my mind traveling from one idea or thought to the next over and over and over...I enjoy these moments of clarity for my horizons have expanded and the burden that is life feels somewhat lighter. During my last 2 years of high school I was taking photography and journalism. I took a lot of pictures for the yearbooks. One of my classmates was a Marachi student. He always had his acoustic guitar with him in class. He would strum slow marachi melodies. I wish I could play the guitar but had no talent. One day I had to take pictures for the Marachi Club. I remember going into the classroom. I announced myself to the teacher. She told me to give her a moment. I remember seeing the instruments lined up. I walked up to them. Took a few pictures of the instruments. I then walked to the guitars I ran my fingers over the strings of the guitars. The teacher heard this then asked if I played. I said sadly no. If I was able to play I would have played the part at 6:15. I knew why the teacher was asking about playing they were short a player. She probably wouldn’t have let me walk out after taking pictures of the class. Lol

Shuffle. Shuffle. Shuffle. One step after the other. Shuffle. Crackle. Shuffle. Gravel is so much easier to walk on than snow. Shuffle. Snap. Rustle. God. I don't even will my legs to move anymore, but they keep going. They have to. Crackle. Shuffle. Shuffle. Mechanically, I unhitch my canteen from my backpack. Glug, glug, glug. Ugh. Why? Why is it like this? I wanted a life. I wanted a job, a car, a family. Bang. Whoosh. WHACK. Oh. Its the ground. Gave me a bit of a shock. You know ground, you don't have to trip me to make me notice you. In fact, you're one of my best friends. The one thing that will always be there. My only constant. I laugh. Cities? They rise and fall. Emotions? Fleeting things that are always changing. Family? I had one of them once. Let me tell you Ground: The Infected deal with all of that. I push off the gravelly forest floor, my achey bones protesting and creaking. Brushing the dirt of my jeans, I look around. Beautiful mountains, leafy pines, crisp air, and no one to share it with. I am alone. Truly, utterly, hopelessly alone. I've been trying to reach the Military Camp. They broadcasted to all survivors in London a while ago.My legs begin moving again. Which way am I going? Who cares. I lost my way a long time ago, both physically and mentally. Out of the blue, a searing pain shoots through my toe. Damn log. I stumble into a bush. Suddenly, I feel the urge to vomit. I'm not the only one in there. Its my brother. Or, whats left of him. An insane, inhuman cry tears itself from my throat. An incontrollable urge grips me. The Infected are attracted to sound? I'll give em something they can't resist. I grab my pistol and start waving it in the air. BANG. BANG. BANG. Giggling, I think of how the bastards will eat me. Or worse. Turn me. BANG. BANG. BANG. I go to pull the trigger again when I freeze. Crap. What have I done? They are coming now. They are coming.

Little remained of Hawkins, Indiana the day after the initial outbreak. Wrecked civilian and military vehicles sat like grave markers outside the devistated store fronts along wieland street. El froze at the sight of a military truck stacked with body bags, some of them moving. Her blood ran cold as her eyes fixated on one of the bags that was partially open. Laying with a bullet hole between his eyes was her brother Will, who had led them to safety before boarding the military transport out of town the previous night. Before the first tear could fall, a shout of panic pulled her back to reality. " El, come on. We gotta move! " Mike shouted as a small group of dead began sprinting toward them.

East Hastings, Vancouver. I live about 10 blocks away and it's a totally different world. For those who have never been there, it's this weird few blocks in the middle of, as someone else put it, a very wealthy city... Vancouver has successfully confined our "problems" into such a small area. East hastings is different from other "bad neighbourhoods" I've been to in that it is not a particularly dangerous place... what it is is the epitome of despair - addiction and mental illness dominate
