First time i've heard this was a few months before it was released as a live version (had it as "Watch later") I was papering the walls of the living room in my apartment, took me solid 2 years due to financial and psychological problems. It was the low point and the loneliest moment of my life, but just as i finished the last row on the wall the break at 2:06 hit me I'll never forget that moment, it was something that can't be forced... the room was filled with magic and I ... for the first time in probably a decade, felt like i've accomplished something. Nothing but the beauty and some tears of relieve. Even though i've lost all that was (and is still) making up my world, atleast once i have done something all by myself Thank you GY!BE for this very special moment and feeling in my life. See you in Munich, i know the hundreds of Kilometers in a Bus will be worth it.

I was born in the 80's. I was a huge 90s Hip hop/Rap fan. I've gone through nu metal, alternative, grunge. I eventually became big into progressive metal in the 2000's. Now, I listen to many forms of metal, mostly atmospheric black metal. I listen to a lot of ambient stuff. Blah blah.. point is, I looove searching for music in all nooks and crannys, high and low. And this right here, is my favorite piece of music. The roller-coaster of emotions from part 1 - 3. Man!, It gets me every time. It always brings forth the things that are most important to me, in my life, and shrinks all the other things that I shouldn't pay any mind too.

bet you know all about brokeback mountain, loverboy
@tundraillustration6 жыл бұрын
I scratched my head for weeks, thinking: hum this sounds like Gustavo Santaolalla somehow! You're right is very close but wouldn't call it an exact copy. Maybe just same notes progression in the 1st part? I truly love both songs though!
@sparrowhawk816 жыл бұрын
That 5-note falling sequence part of the main riff is similar, but the picking of the notes is different and I don't think the key matches. It also doesn't have the distinct, clear 3-note rising sequence before it each time. It's close, but it's not exactly the world's most complicated riff is it? These things happen. It is probably just a case of parallel thinking. It happens.
