I learned all this in my cultural psychology course! In general, asians are much more group oriented while westerners are more individualistic, and this mindset extends to how we think. Asians take the environment into account when they examine things, while westerners focus on the main focal point of a scene.

For the flower question, I noticed B shared 4/4 Stems, but A shared 3/4 of the same Petals, A shared 3/4 single circle flower head, and A shared 3/4 Leaves. So by overall compatibility to either A or B group our flower shares more with A. It was only the Stem that B won out on but each flower had 4 components to it. So fits A more.

It doesn't change anything based on the color of your skin. It has a lot to do with family values, closeness of the family and their wants and needs; plus it could be that certain aspects of your life (intuitively) are more traditional. Many Latin families have a similar hierarchy of family unity. As well as some of my Russian and Somalian friends also have similar traditions as many Asians.

I've never lived in Asia and have not been around Asian people very much except one friend in junior high and some of my students when I was a teacher and counselor, so I don't know why I would have an Asian mindset! These tests were performed and I saw it on another youtube channel maybe discovery or national geographic: According to them Asians have culture and philosophies of interaction between each other like Everything is connected, interdependent and has cause and effect Western philosophy is more about individuality Like if want to explain science according to ancient chinese they will make concept of "qi" i.e. energy to interact with another whereas western philosophies tend to look at the property of the body A balloon flies because it has lighter weight so it levitates(in western philosophy) whereas for eastern it flies because the air outside is blowing it(interaction) So its all about cultural perception

Haha, actually the panda - banana kinda makes sense... you have the three pictures set in a triangular shape and the panda and the banana are the base of the triangle. I am 100% white. Grew up in Kansas, the very center of the United States. I got 3 points Asian and 2 Western. Lol. On the spaceship one I picked A as the head but I picked it because I thought of it as the front of the line and that I, as the viewer, was at the end of the line... because as the viewer if B was the front then it appears as that I must have just cut in line... Personal experiences make a huge difference in this. Just because you are Asian ethnically doesn't necessarily mean you would answer "East". I got 3/5 East, but I have no Asian DNA. However, I have studied eastern philosophies and practiced meditation.

West = 4 East = 2 For the first one I kept changing between A and B and only ended on B because there was one flower that had similar petals and the same stems, and one had the same leaf; that's my reasoning. I'm from Australia and love learning about Asian cultures, particularly Japanese language and culture, so I'm not too surprised that I would've been pretty even since I kept swapping my answer for the first question. The wood cylinder looked more like the wood block, the farther away spaceship was leading the others away, he has a smile and his eyebrows are raised in both pictures so he must be happy, and as for the last one, I figured monkeys like bananas, so that was my answer; have you ever heard of pandas eating bananas or seen a panda and monkey together? And that's how my mind works. That was kinda fun, if a bit silly; everyone is different based on how they were raised and the people and cultures around them, so you can't really narrow it down to one or another mindset, especially with not many questions. I think part of the reason for my results is because I spent time in the military and was raised by a father who also spent time in the military so uniformity is drilled into my subconscious leading me to get eastern on the first two questions. As a westerner, I was in the middle between western and asian. For me the first instinct was to put the flowe in group A and also the monkey went with the bananas without a doubt. I personally believe that there should be a third group. As both of my parents are Filipinos, I am constantly exposed to "Filipino" / "Asian" culture and therefore it has become part of my own culture...but because I live in Germany, I am surrounded by the "German" / "Western" culture on a daily basis, I always state that I am an 'Intercultural Person' - and I think there is a large amount of people who are and would form a third group. #WEAST or #EST or #WAST haha *I used the quotation marks because even when I look at Germans here, I see that there is also a group that has a rather Intercultural mindset, and the same goes for Filipinos.
