Congratulations Mr Bird your foresight is right up there. You have the Experience and have lived such that you have that vast knowledge in all Speech you are making. What college you have in Parliament are either failed .1. Businessman 2. Inexperienced in life and never worked or had held a job. 3. Young Graduates with out live Experience. THIS KIND OF MEMBERS we have elected. Mr Bird when you bring the Issues. They think you are either silly or stupid. Just a note COFFEE PRODUCTS HAVR DROPPED BY 30% IN 1990 TO DATE. Support from SHP. Governor Bird needs to take on from the coming VONC. You see PNGen we need someone like Bird to set the course right from this sinking Ship. Someone who could take risk for the betterment of the people of this nation. Someone who could think out of the box. If the PM seat was voted by the people like they do it the USA, my one vote should be for Governor Bird.....Hope the Lord help us set the course right through you Governor. PNG urgently needs someone like you to bring about some changes.... Our founding father was from sepik, why not we give it back to the sepiks this time and see if they can do it right again.

Nothing personal against Prime Minister James Marape, but Governor Bird is well articulated and seems to have a plan and a vision for PNG. I’m sure PM Marape does as well, but no matter how well intentioned they are, Pangu’s policies are simply failing because they are not STRATEGIC in their approach. I find this presentation insightful and I hope a lot more Papua New Guineans can watch it as well.

A very eloquent and thought-provoking session. Insightful presentation delivered by the good Governor for East Sepik. My general take on this update are: 1. We need to understand the root cause of challenges/problems, set realistic time-bound goals backwards to the present and work towards fulfilling them; 2. Continuously learn and improve ourselves as we take on new roles and responsibilities; 3. Align our personal plans and goals with that of our leaders, who should also tie in theirs with the overarching PNG Vision 2050 to promote unison and coordinate effectively to achieve common goals going forward; 4. Cultivate a selfless attitude that supersedes greed, biases, nepotism etc. An attitude of service that stems from a genuine desire to give back to the community and society freely without any expectations; and 5. Utilise what we already have and be an agent of positive change by identifying problems within our sphere of influence and begin working on the solutions by leveraging already available tools and technologies. Discipline and good attitude is a common denominator among all these. Thank you for uploading this content👍 I thoroughly enjoyed watching and hope some of the things discussed will catch on and take effect among a wider audience for the better. 🇵🇬

What Gov. Bird is talking about is the basic principles of Capitalism. 1). Abolish half of the gov't entities. 2). Privatisation of all State Own Enterprises 3). Invite foreign/domestic investors to compete in the public service mechanisms of PNG. 4). Centralize Police, Military, Judiciary & Foreign Affairs/Immigration at Waigani. 5). Decentralize Education, Health & Infrastructure to the Provinces. Capitalism is Gods Economy - Milton Friedman

May we have all MPs flown down to Singapore and ask the great leaders of that land and have taught for at least two weeks or so and get the basic facts to run a country and implement it back home. I believe experience and someone's "knowl how" extraction for one's benefit is as important as it is.

Our academic curriculum is archaic. What amazes me is that, no parliamentarian ever notices our education system in the country and talks about rewriting our own curriculum. We can talk about other things to the best of our ability but that doesn't change anything. All our professors are ineffective. They use other people's knowledge to maintain their comfort zones. What our education system keeps producing are educated derelicts and not leaders. Our education system needs reformation to suit the global standard. If we can't redeem our education system, our level of education is no better than our own education system. I hate to see highly educated people thinking like an ordinary people.
