Remind myself of bunch church so called officials came our job site trying to tell us the employees by name to dismiss & hire a bunch of there church members. Within 3 hours we had Security Gate up, Armed Security Guards & they was removed off the property permanently by state & county Police. We never saw that bunch again. Assumptions my man: God doesn't need the worlds police or legal system to perfect His church. For ur pastor to be that way also means u weren't praying for him: that church must have been spending all their time in gossips and complains; they might be the very cause of the whole issue. As Baptists in a man made Church ran by its congregation they could not have been further from God and the truth. These kind of shenanigans would not happen in God's Church because Gods Church has a government that safeguards and protects His teaching for the last 2000 yrs. Christ's Church was established by Christ the Great High Priest and King and it was started with 12 Bishops (priests and elders) who were commissioned by Christ the Great High Priest to carry on His mission John 20:21. The teachings and traditions of which they were told to keep too, 2 Thessalonians 2: 15 and instructed to safeguard and protect. 1 Tim. 6:20 - 2 Tim 1:12-14. Rev.2:25 and Rev 3:11 - which was God's revelation of Himself in Jesus Christ. Baptist churches are less than 300 years old. Many of the things taught in the churches are not corrected, anyway. Such as the belief that bad people go to hell when they die, which I was told was a place of fire and torment, and that all good/saved people go to heaven when they die. The Bible doesn't say those things, and when you think about it, it doesn't make sense. Also, since Jesus' sacrificial death, Christians are not required to observed the Sabbath and the hundreds of laws that were given to Moses (Mosaic Law). With the exception of the Sabbath, the New Testament has Christian Laws that mirrors those of the Ten Commandments. The Mosaic law was a covenant between God and the ancient Hebrews.

This is just my opion so take it with a grain of salt: If a majority of your congregation voted you out, then staying will only cause division and the situation will escalate. What is this "Pastor" trying to accomplish here? Even if the congregation was not following "bylaws", it is time to move on to a better congregation. A majority of this congregation wants him to leave. I have been through this and it only leads to negative consequences. In the end, the congregation suffers and the "Pastor" suffers.

Consider this: If a disgruntled rebellious leader in the church calls a meeting of his own supporters without informing the pastor's supporters, the majority in that meeting can "vote" to remove the pastor... even without the support of the actual majority! Put it another way: Let's say the church has 500 adult members. 300 (60%) support the pastor, 100 (20%) are indifferent, and 100 (20%) oppose the pastor. The church's constitution and bylaws are there to prevent the 20% opposed to the pastor from calling a secret meeting to "vote out" the pastor in a hostile takeover of the church! We really don't know enough about this situation to judge what the pastor should or shouldn't do. But the Bible does tell us of opposition to Moses by rebel leaders. Moses stood firm, and the Lord Himself judged the rebels. Moses + the Lord = the majority! IF the Lord is telling this pastor to move on, he must move on. But IF He Is telling him to stay, he must stay... like Moses did!

This has to do with church government and their by-laws, the Bible expressly condemns the taking of this matter to civil court. Matthew 18:15 and 1st. Corinthians 6;1-7. The members more than likely have every right to do this and are probably justified. Nobody likes to do this because the church needs to find a new pastor, not always easy to do, and the pastor has to find something else to do. It all depends on how the by-laws were written.

The pastor was fired and refused to leave the church and so was trespassing. The officers asked him several times to come outside. I worship God with fellow believers, but don't go to church, since you will never find God's holy spirit there, so I'm not taking up for this church. It's just that when a person is fired, the proper thing to do is to leave. If the person disagrees with the firing, or there is some contractual obligation on the part of the church, then take the matter up with an attorney. According to the report, most of the congregation voted for him to leave, so there must be more to the story.

Paul's preaching was mainly to churches who had wavered and had backslidden tendencies. So, if once saved always saved, there would haven't been any need for these church congregations to be ministered to and encouraged to turn away from the wrong direction and get back on track. Follow the path to righteousness. Also, the book of Revelation lets us know, a person's name can be removed from the Book of Life. Have we actually fallen in love, with the word of GOD? First and foremost, do we really love GOD or just want what he does for us and gives us and that's it? People love and respect pets, cars and jobs more than they do GOD Almighty. Yahweh, Jehovah. There are many names for the true and living GOD. Listed in the pages of the Holy Bible. Not sure of what is going on in this congregation and why members wanted "prominent " people in their church, didn't James ch.2 say not to have favor of one important person over a person of lesser status/ poor, "do not say to the poor stand there or sit under my footstool" ? THE answer will be found in the By-laws of that church or denomination to which is subjected, in many churches the Elders or Deacons only vote to remove a pastor others may be influenced by organisational decisions. I would hope this church will collectively pray over this riff, prayer changes men and women when they enter in with a spirit of allowing God to do his will in the heart(s) of his people.

If you think about it, God works in many ways, maybe he sent those deputies to get him off his pulpit. Then again, we cannot know for sure the reasons God does things, but he does them for a reason.

The same thing happened at my church which is why I do not attend there anymore my people we do some of the dumbest things in church and call ourselves children of God we need to quit behaving this way God is not pleased with your ignorance there's Bi-Laws you must follow when asking a preacher to leave the pulpit you cannot just terminate him under contract the word being contracts

It is for a pastor to preach, and it is for the Christians in his flock to advance that word into the populations outside the church. "Go among the many and spread the good news".

This a terrible turn of events. I am speechless that a church congregation/Board would think that this is the right course of action. Even if there are differences, could this matter not be sorted out in another way?

It's a sad day for the churches. Calling the police on a Pastor and having him remove from the pulpit by the police while preaching. There compliant for his removal was very lame. What prominent people are they speaking of ? Was it because they feel prominent people can bring money, and fame to the church ? That's why you have Evangelist. They're the ones who walk amongst the people and spread the word. The pastor should just pack up and leave that church and pray for them while heading out the door. When one door closes, another one opens. I had a Pastor who once told me," that the devil will come into the church" it seems like Satan came into the church and bought his minions with him. Move on Pastor there's a better church on the horizon for you
