Is the proper way to play the sets of strings by hitting the top string in the set on the down and the bottom string in the set on the up?

I play both strings as if they were really only one, going through both of them (or mostly not thinking about it).

Hello, very nice lessons, thank you very much! :-) I have the little problem that I never find the exactly same tabs you are playing. The tabs I found under the same name (for this lesson, but also for others) in the net do mostly have the same theme but another melodie. Is there any site where I can find the exacty same melodies you are playing in your lessons? Thanks in advance. ;-)
