I’m in Carter County…My area is in the worst shape I’ve ever seen. Power out for a few days, no water for a few days. Literally on a boil water notice now. Flood waters ruining businesses and houses. People’s whole lives washed away within a day. It’s heartbreaking. But what else do I see? A community coming together to help their neighbors, a community refusing to sit and blame. Sadly not everyone here is financially able to stock up. There are a lot of families here scraping to get by, especially in today’s economy. But it warms my heart to see my community coming together and lending a hand to help anyone here who may need it. To anyone who may have been affected, you’re in my thoughts and 🙏.

You are so right. I am heartbroken for all the people suffering. Have seen many posts on Facebook about people stuck on the road with no water or food 😢 My family thinks I am anal but I always have water, food and a way to go to the bathroom in my vehicle. Wet wipes and paper towels. Also pillows and blankets. Never let my tank get below half tank. My grandmother taught me to fill every available container with water if the weather was going to be bad.

You are why I started prepping so thank you so so much for teaching us! Because of you and your husband I bought 2 camping stoves, we have a week of emergency food, drinking water, so many lights, and power banks. My power will be out until Tuesday, and we’re learning what we need to buy to make life easier for when this happens again but thank you for teaching us!

Thank you for the very wise advise you give to people. I live in Houston Texas and have always stocked up when a major storm was coming our way. Not only drinking water but water for other things like flushing the toilet. When you take a shower put the stopper in the tub & fill up the milk jugs with that. Fill up your washing machine with water.bathtub with water. Baby wipes for quick wipe down. Also make sure you have a hand held can opener. So glad to hear that y'all are ok.

Absolutely agree with your statement coming from a person who lives in louisiana. We see these storms all the time, and they can be devastating, yes, the water and every canned meat, you can find slides off-the-shelf and it can get rough sometimes. So yes, you definitely need to prep ahead of time. For these unforeseen, little disasters that happen...

You are so right about prepping. We felt the effects of the hurricane here in Ohio and a lot of us lost our electricity and those unfortunate enough not to have a generator or food and water stocked up felt the effects far more than the rest of us. I plan on stocking up on more water, portable charging stations and other essentials in order to be better prepared to help those around us. Praying for all of those who have suffered loss through this natural disaster. Brooke you and Dusty are such an inspiration to so many of us and we are very grateful for your videos. Take care dear lady.

I’m in Virginia and while it hit my area, Dublin, the areas in the rest of the county, Pulaski, was hit harder. I never thought of Dublin as being on the mountain but apparently we are. The New River wraps around us, forms a lake, and continues on around. There are many areas within a 10 mile radius of us that are flooded and/or without power. I felt very thankful that my mom and one of my sons knew that they could come here to shower and relax while they are without power.

Living on an island in Canada means always having emergency supplies. When Covid hit here, we had plenty of everything for quite awhile with no trips on the ferry. The guidelines here in British Columbia is to have essential supplies in case of forest fires, snow, heavy winds where the ferries can’t run and each person has so much water per person for drinking and cooking. Babies too. Then water for cooking and a bit of cleaning. And Ice. It’s just normal and now with the violent unpredictable weather, absolutely essential. We are saving for a cistern because we have an eternal spring on our property. Water is so important! So happy you and your family are okay. ❤from Canada.🇨🇦

My prayers are with those affected. I’m glad you and your family are safe. This is why having a shelf stable pantry and drinking water is important. Very good comments. People don't need to go crazy in prepping, but it is common sense to have a 3 to 7 day supply of drinking water, non perishable ready to eat food for every family member and pets. Medicine, blankets and basic first aid supplies matches candles, etc if possible. Be sensible Be safe God Bless

Girl I’m in the top of South Carolina 15 mins from North Carolina. I’m sacrificing my phone battery to watch you to distract me from everything. Everywhere is still without power. There are lines down everywhere. Power poles have been snapped. Trees are down everywhere. It’s like an apocalyptic war zone here. Stores that do have power are completely empty of all groceries including canned things. The few gas stations that had back generators are completely wiped and without gas. I’m so happy I have always prepared for things like this but it only lasts for so long.
