Lost Maples is my go-to Park. I have been on all Trails but one of my favorites is the West Trail. The West Trail has the least people on it but that is what I like about it. Cool video thanks for sharing

It’s a beautiful park! I’m hoping to head back out there soon and when I do I’ll definitely hit that west trail!

I’m very glad this family had fun and did well. I recommend to anyone else wearing good walking shoes and a full pair of pants. A light shirt and big hat. Don’t dress for fashion dress for protection, safety, and health. You’ll be thankful at the end of your trip.

Just curious what was that swimming hole y'all went to after lost maples?

Oh that was the Concan Swimming Hole…great place. Expensive during the open season…we accessed it by walking upstream from the bridge since they were closed.

Pretty cool the pup made the hike! The East trail is a nice one...have you done the west trail? I plan on doing the west next time we go.

Not yet but hopefully I can make it back down there. I’d love to check it out!

We’re going for two days next week. Do u think we’ll have time to do all the trails ? Also have u heard if the water spot is open ?
@TheNotLostNomad3 жыл бұрын
You’ll have plenty of time to do all of the trails...but if you can get into Garner State Park...not far away...I’d split my days so you can get more variety. Both the East and West trails are very similar. And I’d guess that the lake area is still closed off...not sure of this though. I’d maybe put in a phone call to the park to find out.

Funny how we plan our lives (w kids) around swimming . We can get em to go anywhere w us if there is a promise of a pool or lake .

It’s so true! There were tears from my youngest when she saw the closed signs...my fault though. I didn’t even think to check

@@TheNotLostNomad the lake isn’t closed, just that area in front of the lake for restoration. If you walk down that same trail parallel to the lake there is access

Even in the winter lol. It can be in the 40s and my daughter is asking if she can get in the water lol
