This is lovely. It brings back memories. This is what we stopped doing why our churches became classist and we see more infighting. I can't tell last when I went to a social and sad that I didn't recall some of these social songs til now that I am watching this. We must never neglect the fellowship aspects of church, and I don't mean potlucks. Social is the secret sauce that bonds people and blurs the differences between us; builds camaraderie. Would love to see more of this side of Adventist culture.

For all who commented negatively on this post. Few questions to you all: Please advise what do you think our church family should do to activity wise to enhance the social experience of our young people and old alike? Please provide an alternative activity that would be suitable for the individuals in attendance of this event! Would you rather them attending staff parties or the local carnival or dance sessions held in their area? Whilst i have not watched minute by minute this video in its entirety, I must say the church has tried or at least is trying to keep together its people's. Overboard in some areas, debatable, but what's your alternative. Instead of criticizing and to the most extent condemning the organization and participants. You all should be providing solutions and encouragement to them. Woe be unto you all who thinks or see yourselves as Holy and spotless. Casting stones when we are also sinners. However small we think our sins are...God bless us.

Yes we are also sinners. However, God has made a Provision for our escape from sin. Jesus, the only begotten Son of God was made our sin offering. Therefore, God DOES NOT expect us to remain in sin , die in sin and go to hell. Geuine Repentance from sin is expected from us , then start a relationship with God through His Son, Jesus. Then we begin to RUN THE RACE OF ETERNAL LIFE, LOVING RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HATING WICKEDNESS AND UNWHOLESOME ACTIVITIES.

The Older women teaching the younger women how to take care of their husbands/ families, thus eliminating the high divorce rate in the church. The older men teaching the younger men how to be Godly men in their homes and churches. Health reform life sessions the impact of our diet on Cancer, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure among us, so many dying from all sorts of cancer. How to be power Prayer Warriors in this end time, teaching sessions on the impact of prayer and fasting. The necessity of Home Worship for both of and young. Sessions for the young on the importance of walking with God especially the evil that is targeting them, kidnapping, human trafficking, suicide, obesity, bullying,other. How does all this glorify God? Would this be something you go on the seashore in Christ time or on My Oliver and see Christ and his Disciples and the crowd the followed him doing? Engage the young on how to care for humanity, visit the Prisons, the Boys Home, Girls Home, Shut Ins, Bars/ ends that young men cool out and witness to these people. Bring care Packages for those confined. Teach them about physiology, let them understand how beautifully and wonderfully that they are made. Teach them about the heavens and the heavens of heaven, teach them about the oceans, the majestic mountains a small pebbles all a witness of God's love for humanity. Teach them in simplicity of the price Christ paid for salvation. Take them to the animal shelters, let them be taught how to care for animals. Let them be taught how to read to the elderly or groups that would desire this, God fearing, spiritual building books. Have cooking sessions using simple Jamaican foods to create wholesome dishes. Young People Testimony Sessions, in groups of fifty or less in these sessions. Here are some options, as you suggested I provide some solutions. Have a blessed Sabbath.

Things and society changes and especially the interest level of these young people and the aged a like. Not many will find these suggestions useful as we know it to be. @bernachukwureh2870 Preach it! We're all sinners but are called to follow Jesus who, though tempted, remained sinless. He's our example first and foremost so I don't understand how we Christians love to lean on that scripture like a crutch and normalize our sinful nature. Were it normal, Christ wouldn't have died to set us free. Paul even admonished us to not let sin reign in our mortal bodies, but righteousness. I also wonder why the alternatives to how we should behave in God's presence are always compared with worldly events like carnival, staff party, etc. So we're not attending those events but let's have a change of venue. The problem in our churches is the choice of instruments, i.e., the drum that elicits from us ungodly moves. The music in our churches is atrocious, sounding like the world and have Christian words to it. Think Kirk Franklin gyrating on stage at a so called gospel concert sweating like a pig. It's outrageous! I must admit that my brother made a valid point about making suggestions on how this could look better. Thing is, based on how defensive they are of the criticism they're not opened to anything because they feel nothing is wrong and it's "clean fun". But they don't need us. What they need is to go to God in all sincerely and the holy spirit will guide His people in all truth. Nothing beats a relationship with God. Remember, the way of man seem right unto him but, it leads to death. This has nothing to do with people being self righteous but test the spirits that promise to lead us in ALL TRUTH. No need to get combative...go talk to author and finisher of our faith. The more I read EGW I'm convinced we're going down the same path as Isreal. We're no better! We're worst off if you asked me because we have scriptures and see the mistakes they made yet were doing the same. Let us humble ourselves before the Lord.

Some of these people comment is so ridiculous, what is wrong with some of you people? Do you see these people dress naked? Do you see them winding up /bubbling up/on each other? Are they fighting/killing/cursing out each other? Answer is simple NO, All that they are doing is socializing them self with one another & having fun, and activity, enjoying themselves together. Those are a whole bunch of Youths/ Young People full of energy, So we got to have some kind of activities within the churches for them, So to hold them within the Christian circle ⭕, Trust me I don't have a problem with this, I'm enjoying every moment of this, These activities/exercises are good for the soul/ body/mind /amen. It took me a minute to confirm these are God's people. This looks like a secular gathering. We're definitely not behaving like a royal priesthood. If we truly believe we're God's special people, it must be apparent to the world. A very classic move started by Constantine back in 321AD. He joined the Christian church and brought paganism into the church. Another one of Satan deceptions that as long as they're in church this behavior is OK. We aught to learn from the past...go read the church's history. There's a way that seem right unto a man.

I beg to disagree. Firstly, the Christian, moreso Adventist Christians, we should not be in competition. The testimony clearly states it. Secondly, our way of having fun should not resemble that of the world. When I observe, I saw young people dancing like it was a carnival gathering. Lots of fun and games was played and many young people from the community would join us. Church family in Jamaica you are inspirational 🙏🏾 and brought back good memories.
