I love the Hulk. However, it amazes me that nobody was ever able to put 2 & 2 together. 1 minute you're dealing with a man, the next minute you're dealing with a huge green creature. Wouldn't that make you stop and think?

It's set in a world where these things just don't happen, and in a scenario where they have more pressing things to worry about. Upon seeing the Hulk where David was a minute before, these people don't pull out a monocle and go "Well, logically, this must have been a transformation caused by some heretofore unknown scientific chemical reaction, and is perfectly understandable and not at all worrisome under the circumstances, pip pip eh wot?", they go "HOLY CRAP THERE'S A BIG GREEN MONSTER GROWLING AT US AND HE JUST THREW BILL OUT THE WINDOW RUUUUUUUUN!!!!"

I have to wonder about that shower, if it can get hot enough to literally be used as a torture device. That seems like it'd be a lawsuit waiting to happen. :D Edit: I wrote this before I moved into a new apartment where the shower really does get that hot. I have to be very careful to set the temperature right. (I haven't sued anyone)

So when they see a giant green monster, they don't go "that little guy must have magically transformed", they go "IT'S A GIANT MONSTER RUN"
