I’m doing a build on a bike very similar to yours. I machined aluminum upper fork covers between the triple trees since my originals were pretty rough. I’m wondering if you ever located a front fender with the clearance needed for the 190 motor?
@eastcoastish2 жыл бұрын
I ended up modifying a Tyga carbon fiber one, cutting away the back area until I had enough clearance.

Hello, I've been trying to find a speedometer for my ct70. I have 120/90-10 tires and have no clue where to look. And it probably doesn't help that I have the inverted forks which come with their own speedo gear thingy. Will probably buy something on ebay and use GPS on my phone to compare. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks
@eastcoastish4 жыл бұрын
I believe all of them should have the 2240:60 ratio. You're probably not going to be able to find something that you can fine-tune to tire size, but it should be close enough. eBay honestly has the biggest selection of OEM (mostly used) and after-market options.

What gearing are you running? Any suggestion on the rear sprocket? Might help save me some time trial & error. Thanks!
@eastcoastish4 жыл бұрын
I'm running 17/35. 17 is the biggest sprocket that will fit in the engine casing. This combo so far feels pretty good throughout the range. It still really wants to wheelie in first and second gear but that's more of a function of the wheelbase to power ratio.

Hey man, i have to ask you something, and it´s not about this video but about the zx6r. So I just got mine and since you got the yoshimura exhaust i was wondering if deleting the cat could be endangering the engine in some way. Like less power without ecu flash and/or just simply hurting the engine. The street legal akro just doesnt cut it sound wise, but keeping the engine happy is my priority :) Would be nice if you could answer this one, haven´t found anything about this on this motorcycle on the internet so thx in advance i guess ? :)
@eastcoastish4 жыл бұрын
Cat delete shouldn't hurt the engine at all, it may be more free flowing though so something like a Power Commander will help make sure you're getting the most performance out of your setup.
@Smallbore2wheels4 жыл бұрын
Looks great. How's the front end doing with the extra weight and power?
@eastcoastish4 жыл бұрын
Seems to ride really well. Since spring compression didn't change in the front it just has less travel but on the road things seem good so far. The rear springs are firmer than the OEM ones and I think that's carrying more of the engine weight than the front; overall balance feels good, but only about 50 miles on the bike so far so we'll see.

The main jet is only for full throttle. Mid range gets adjusted by the primary jet or the needle jet Just fyi. also you probably need to adjust idle screw and air screw
@eastcoastish4 жыл бұрын
(primary and main jets are the same thing) The main jet size starts becoming a factor at about half throttle and the needle from about a quarter throttle until just before WOT. So there's a lot of trial and error finding what gives the smoothest power curve through the entire band.

i want to swap my carb for a flat slide carb but i have two fuel lines coming from the tank and most carbs only have one fuel line attachment point. does anyone know a solution?
@eastcoastish4 жыл бұрын
The two lines are for the main and res lines. The reserve pulls from the very bottom of the tank so when your main starts to run out you can switch to reserve with enough fuel to get to a gas station. You can do 2 things: plug up the main line and just use the reserve line, or buy a petcock that switches between the two like this: mytrailbuddystore.com/fueltankswitch.aspx
