After unsuccessfully trying to have Ian killed and with the Mitchell brothers in hot pursuit Cindy, with the help of David, escapes to France with two of the children, Ian having rescued Lucy before she could take her too.

I guess when you grow up you can see both sides to a story. Though I always felt sorry for Cindy as Ian was just awful and nobody cared how he behaved. But if Cindy ever stepped out of line everybody treated her like dirt! Eastenders was a rather sexist show in those days. Like everyone treating Sharon like dirt for cheating on Grant with Phil but nobody gave Phil a hard time at all! 🙄
