I think it’s sad how they’ve never really developed Ian and David as brothers. Of course the Cindy stuff made them implacably opposed in the 90’s. But during David’s return in 2013-14 there weren’t enough scenes like this of the two of them supporting each other

Good shout. Even though David was an absent father it was still devastating for him to learn of this, much later than when it happened.
