Are we surprised that highly trained armed police are now refusing to carry weapons. A known gang member who has recently shot someone tries to ram pedestrain police in a two tonne car. Policeman spends two years in hell. Can you imagine what his life would have been like in prison, were he to be convicted? The police probably will have known 10 incidents where there was insufficient evidence to prosecute for every one that could be prosecuted against this man. Now, the rest of his life and his families will be living fear. Honestly, he should now be put in some form of protection programme with a changed name and a new job at the public expense. Given that the jury asked for a note to be read out that they did not believe the case should have even been prosecuted, is there such a gap between the legal system and the public?

This Guest doesnt know his law. Manslaughter couldnt be considered because shooting a gun in to a car. The likelihood is death or very serious injury. Thats why manslaughter was never an option for the Jury
@JaenEngineering5 сағат бұрын
This first guest is wrong. The legal definition of Murder is the *Premeditated* *Unlawful* Killing. Firstly you have to show that it was unlawful and then that it was *premeditated* .On that second point, did this officer specifically set out to kill someone or did he act in the heat of moment? It's clearly the latter and therefore at worst it's voluntary manslaughter. There may well have been an intent to kill but the decision to do so was made in the heat of the moment not beforehand.

the failure is by the judge who threw this policeman to the wolves by allowing his name to be released.....no one with a brain cell would give out this mans name and not know it put him at serious risk and his family......this country is run by idiots with power and it should not take a law to protect being named until after a conviction because logic tells you other lives become at risk such as the family of the officer in question.........the judge sentenced the police officer and his family before the trial........

As a black man living here for 50 years it now make me very nervous to live here. Am i going to be shot at some point and why do i say that the police have had me under surveillance for at least 10 years not sure why when i asked they say there is nothing on record. These stories seem to be building every day are they true or made up to make it seem more terrible. Do they have a problem with black people or black men. There is a lot of crime out there no always committed by black people.
