Just goes to show when someone passes all they care about in the end is what is there's, my bamps passed away year ago the family is now devided because of money. An my mother was conned out of a share of life insurance all because of greed. She is her granddaughter by marriage so can consider her as such. And it doesn't matter anyway. Dot could have left her estate to Janine if she had wanted to - blood relatives bar spouses have no automatic right to inherit from you if your legal will says otherwise. And given Dotty never even seemed to bother visiting her gran in Ireland since she left 2 years ago so how would she even know Dot's mental state or have evidence she wasn't fit to agree her will?

Also if someone dies without a will family is no:1 in inheritance by law. I wouldn't take someone's £1 million house just because I was closer to their grand mother than they were. It's not mine.
