The irrelevant and unnecessary new Mitchell characters need a convoluted reason to hang about in Albert Square. How about this one for starters: the tedious ‘ladies man’ character gets Penny up the duff? Obviously he will require living accommodation on the Square (can’t live outside of the immediate area) and a job at the garage, working for someone he’s only distantly related to. The slaphead dad will buy the car lot for no clear reason and will buy a house on the square.
