Kat's line 'it's not always about being held down in an alley by a stranger' is so true. You can get raped within a relationship and not even realise it.

Well, obviously she realizes that's the case because her Uncle Harry molested her as a 13 year old in her own bed.

Not easy when it happens when you’re 12. When you try and tell your mum but she doesn’t believe you. When you live in a tiny highland village when you see the person who did it to you walk past your home every day. I’m 44 now and I’m in awe of people who can go to the police. I wasn’t strong enough then and I only broke when I was 27 and a mum of 3. I was sure my own kids would be hurt every time they left the house. Monsters who abuse and rape should be sent away forever. The damage they do destroys lives. Anyway, sorry for hijacking your comment. I remember watching the whole Trevor/Mo story and I was so impressed with the show for bringing up this issue and for the actors involved.

@@Highland_Moo I’ve been in the same boat I was sexually assaulted at 4/5 years old by a boy who was either 10-12 years old. It’s damaged me with meeting people and the way how my sex life is I’m now 19 and I’m still getting there with enjoying life. I haven’t told anyone at all and I think that a lot of people won’t take it as seriously because it was a 10-12 year old boy and they’ll say boys will be boys. Throughout my teens I’ve struggled with my appearance and weight and have gone through struggles with my eating either it’s eating too little or over eating when I was 13-16. I have gotten better but it’s a struggle you can be great one day then get knocked down the next but I’m going to beat this. My eating has gotten great with enjoying food and making sure I look after myself.

To everyone in the comments I want to say I am from a distance in spirit as a survivor of repeated sexual assault by many different people including boyfriends and outside of that relationship too.i am standing with you and holding your hand with you from a far in spirit. Because I understand what it's like to be told and manipulated into believing in the back of your head u know what it is but when your boyfriend tells you at the time it's just passion because they love you they can't control their passion and urges sometimes even in violence ohh I'm sorry I didn't mean to you wouldn't move it was an accident l manipulation in relationships is massive and realising this is huge and even outside of relationships seeing it is so hard sexual violence mental violence and sometimes physical too . I stand with you all holding hands we stand strong together we are survivors of sexual abuse telling our stories . Not ever victims .hugs for all.

Gotta admit Trevor and Little Mo abuse storyline was better played out than Chantelle and Gray
@sarahq102 жыл бұрын
Totally agree, little mo did a great job with this storyline
@ashleyalexander28472 жыл бұрын
They were both different. I liked both storyline. Mo was in your face, chantelle was secretive. Same storyline 2 different ways.

I don’t think it was better played out. Chantelle and Gray’s story was just different. Both equally well acted but at least Little Mo got out of her relationship Alive … can’t say the same for Chantelle 😢

Very different i feel like eastenders don’t show gruesome scenes like they did before because more younger people watch and they could get a lot of backlash these day then they did in early 2000s

Kat abused by her uncle, Maureen by her evil husband. She escaped him. Gray abused Chantelle too and she didn't escape alive. How did they even meet those monsters. But why did she think him hurting her prove he loved her? And insulting kat saying she goes out so if something bad happens it happens but she's good. No one deserves it. Sometimes the family didn't have sympathy for kat and what harry did. Lynn also used what happened to kat as an insult. Not nice

ironic her confiding in Kat about her abuse when Kat herself would go on to get violent with Alfie many times over the years.
