Kat is trying to convince Donna to give evidence against Trevor for little mo trail... Trevor Finds out and uses his fists to get his point across to Donna
Trevor plays his nice guy act straight after and Donna tries to get him to call the doctor for her and she says that she fell down the stairs .. Trevor reluctantly agrees but finds a peace of paper with the slaters number on it and the nice guy act vanish again..

These scenes have stuck with me for about 19 years. I was about 10 or 11 when this episode was first on in 2002. I remember Donna turning around after Trevor had beaten her (which had happened off screen) and my mouth fell to the floor when I saw the bruises on her face. Obviously I knew it was fictional, but it was the shock of Trevor talking to her as if they were outside having a casual walk in a park somewhere and Donna just standing there submissively responding to him after being beaten. Brilliant performances by Alex Ferns and Paula Jennings.

Both are excellent actors and Paula is very nice in real life too as I work in a theatre that she performed in around about ten year ago.

It does show that but it also implies that Trevor himself may have come from a similar background as he shouts 'I cannot understand it! I get confused! It does my head in!' and it's the way he shouts it that implies that something in his past may have turned him into the monster he is.
