I think scenes in where characters accidentally say the wrong things like Jack Branning's, actually make soaps (and probably other TV shows in general that are fictional) look more realistic (when live if possible, depending on the type of program). For example all of us have probably accidentally referred to someone by somebody else they either know or used to know. It could be because you have the same haircut, or because the letter your name begins with, or because you were born and live in the same area, or because your the same height, or even one of your relatives just because their related to you. You might also accidentally say that you have £400,000 in your bank account, when it's actually £500,000, as four comes right before five. And you might also accidentally say that you went to France during the summer holidays when it was actually Italy you went to, as those two countries are pretty much next door to each other. Unless if a character is dilbratley lying about something, those sorts of little mistakes never really seem happen on soaps (or any show that's fictional).

I don't know why this was recommended to me, but I actually remember watching this episode and talking about it at school back in year 10 I think. This was around the last time I actively watched EastEnders too. I know alot of people pointed out his hand moving, but to he fair he might not have instantly died, and just struggled round on the floor for a bit - or just had muscle twitches. Although the actor probably tried not to move, but it could just he explained away as a death twitch or something.

The scene where Peggy called Janine 'June', could be because of Barbara Windsor's dementia, as she said that she started to notice things as far back as 2009, and this episode was obviously the year after. I'd imagine the reason Barbara called her June, was because of June Brown who obviously played Dot Cotton.

This was painful to watch, bloody heck. But, the worst one by far is the retching one that was so over-dramatised and weird by Max, they certainly left that camera on too long. The first scene is more realistic, people stumble over words, they don't always talk perfectly. There was another one like 2 years ago, a recent one by the guy who plays Ian, he called his wife Jane by her real name (Laurie) or something like that. Happened like 2 years ago now or something, don't know.
