This was so much fun to watch. I was surprised how well the mustard yellow went with the other more traditional Easter colors, providing a more sophisticated palate. I am not making anything, I just wanted to say that I am team Orhan this time as these are not beginner cakes - even though the footage makes it look so easy ahah Speaking of Easter cakes, I typically need to feed a crowd so they've got to be big and rather easy as I also have to cook and get everything else ready. I remember one time I made an Easter bunny cake - you know that hack where you take a round cake, cut it in half and sandwich the two halves together and then with just a little carving you end up with a rabbit shape - with whipped milk chocolate ganache as the filling, mascarpone cream for the outside and then covered the whole thing with coconut and made the details - ears, eyes and nose out of marzipan (in Sicily we create lambs out of homemade marzipan for Easter so I had some). Another time I made a very easy sheet cake that i decorated as a garden with olive brunches, marzipan lambs and chocolate Easter bunnies that I bought. Just in case someone needs inspiration. Another cake talk right here 🤣

I'd rather pipe the design. I used to decorate all our sugar cookies. Then I became a single, working mom and resorted to sprinkling colored sugar. My kids always got an over the top cake for their birthdays (that I would stress out over while decorating them). By the time my youngest turned 18, my hands couldn't squeeze a bag of frosting to save my life.

My and my sister once ask my dad to help do the fondue covering for a mother dad’s cake but we picked green and pink stripes as the base. We had no idea how difficult a task we set till after cos he made the stripes in to a single sheet so there was no rerolling it would have gone brown.
