Easter vs Commey HIGHLIGHTS: September 9, 2016 - PBC on Spike

(September 9, 2016) Robert Easter Jr. and Richard Commey meet for a scheduled 12 round IBF lightweight world title on PBC on Spike September 9, 2016.
Easter uses his height and reach advantage against Commey. Commey is forced to reach forward and he is successful with a number of punches. Easter sends a flurry of punches in round 4 that wakeup Commey but it does not stop there as Easter lands a solid right uppercut.
Commey continues to charge forward while scoring points and in round 8 Commey scores a knockdown. Both men exchange in round 10 but it is Easter who finishes strong in round 12. Easter delivers a flurry of punches in round 12 and knock Commey off balance. Commey is shaken up and holds on for the final round.
Easter wins by split decision and improves his record to 18-0.

I missed the first 2 rounds, but I actually had the fight for Commey up until the 12th round. I thought they would call it a draw but it looks like that 12th round gave Robert the win. If Commey didn't get hurt in the 12th he would he would have won the fight period.

Quick question. How was Robert Easter with tremendous energy able to stand toe to toe with RC (a high volume puncher) till the 12th round but couldn't keep that same energy with Mikey. Something is not right. Unanimous Olympic style drug testing has to be implemented in boxing asap!

@@localsmoker3658 nope not true. Mikey hits hard but if you watch the fight b/n Easter and Commey, Easter pressured in the fight with Mikey, he folded. He didn't have the same energy, he actually fought like a healthy crackhead against Mikey and could barely use footwork to keep distance atleast . In his fight against Commey he wasn't even tired in 12th round after throwing more 4x the number of punches thrown in the Mikey fight. No injury, just two different fighters. I play sports and definitely can tell when an athlete is on gear vs when they're not
