Founded in January 1950, the members of the Eastern Counties Motor Club wanted nothing more than to go racing. That was easier said than done with petrol still being rationed! However, for a short period of time the runways at Bentwaters, near Woodbridge, Suffolk were used by neither the R.A.F or the U.S.A.F. The farmer, Jack Kemball offered the site to the club who jumped at the chance. Here is the proof!
