I attended the University of Central Arkansas when they were renovating that field. Students actually circulated a petition for them NOT to color it that way. We were ignored.

As an Austin Peay fan, this is a brutal result. If EKU had won, Austin Peay would have clinched the automatic playoff berth. Now Austin Peay has to beat Central Arkansas next week in Clarksville to clinch, though the loser still has a good shot at the playoffs. I will probably go to the game since it is so big.

Most bizarre play was the second-to-last play. With no time outs, Why would the receiver run thar route, and why would the qb throw it? It almost looked like the receiver dropped it on purpose because that was the only right thing to do.

The abomination of what exactly are the team's colors and how they are being represented is what makes this field so bad to me. My first thought upon seeing the field was wow a purple/cream white team that explains the striping then why the hell is the endzone black of all colors? Then I saw the team's two main colors are in fact, purple and black which makes the cream white even more confusing to me since I would think that if you have a striped field it would make perfect sense to have it be the two dominant colors used not whatever this mess is. And then the lettering of Arkansas in the endzone is a different shade of white than the cream white used for the striping. So that leaves you with four different primary colors being used on the field, all of which are represented on the school's logo, to varying degrees of success in regards to their hierarchy.
