These magnificent birds used to be near my home in Northwest Georgia. They have vanished sadly. Habitat deprivation my thoughts. Seems no one cares. Thanks for sharing. You are lucky to find some of these birds.

Beautiful photography, Mark! When I was a boy, I used to see meadowlarks frequently - now, not so much. Where have they gone?

Our Philippine Life they are still around mostly in big fields that are not as common as they used to be.
