A male Eastern Wood-Pewee (Contopus virens) forages for flying insects by sallying after them from a branch. In the first clip, the bird catches a small insect but appears to drop it. In the second clip, he catches, kills, and decapitates a dragonfly, then swallows the body whole, including the wings.
