Eastman E10OM-TC acoustic guitar demo in Stageshop

The Eastman E10 OM-TC has solid Thermo-Cured Adirondack Spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides. Eastman offers the Solid top with their Thermo-Cured process. This ensures that the top is exposed to heat and pressure, so that it has already lost much of its moisture to this treatment. The result is a guitar with a played in character like an older vintage acoustic guitar. The neck is made of mahogany with ebony fingerboard, the scale length is 24.9". The neck profile is traditional even "C". The bone nut width is 1 3/4" (44,5mm), the saddle is made of bone with 2 5/32" (54,8mm) strings spacing.

We used Middle-Side microphone recording technique with a Neumann KM 184 at centre and Austrian Audio OC818 for the stereo ambient sides. We used UAD Apollo X4 mic preamp and AD converter and ProTools DAW. No EQ or any effects used on the recording.

Picked one of these up a couple weeks ago. My first Eastman. love the OM size. Absolutely in love with the sound. I’ve been playing a Taylor 610 for 10+ years. I think this has a better sound overall. Much more low-end and just a woody sweet tone.

Fantastic tone, as with all Eastmans but this is the first Eastman I've seen with apparently mismatched top pieces. I say apparently because the grain, except between bridge and sound hole, appears to match but one side is dark and the other washed out. This is one top that would have benefited from a sunburst finish. I'd still take it in a heartbeat.

Curious, what strings are on that guitar? Is it XT's?
