This abbreviated video format works great for me when watching repetitive tedious chores such as nut slots and fret service. Enjoyed the show today, thank you very much!

I’m glad the abbreviated format works for you, and I’m sure for many others as well. Hopefully people will also be signing up for the exclusive content, extended formats. A lot of guitars come with overset necks, including Gibson, and especially Breedlove. Even Martin guitars are all over the place.

How did you like the internal Gastrointestinal Exam?

Excellent video and assessment on the E2. I played one of these at my local guitar store and it was really nice! Very responsive to finger pickin'. Researching the guitar led me here. I've got to tell you though, and even though you do not recommend them, the Mitchel's PlateMate does add to the sound a bit. For those wondering about the difference you can KZbin Robert Cassard's video on the subject. You can clearly hear a difference regardless of if you like what you hear or not. I've installed one on my Taylor grand concert and it sounds huge with the right strings, almost dreadnought territory. Not even kidding.

Thank you for your comment. I will have to keep an open mind about the PlateMate and perhaps do some more texting next time. I have the opportunity to do it. I don’t doubt that it changes the sound, but I don’t believe that the sound would get louder, simply because a bigger percentage of the energy from the vibrating strings gets used to move a slightly heavier mass. I would imagine that it must absorb some of the frequencies from the spectrum and produce a different quality sound. Whenever I get a chance to experiment, I should be able to make a video, hopefully.
