Powerful composition with unusual, but simple musical notation. Richly sung by Davone Tines. No question this should have been included at the Rockport Festival. Keep Eastman's work alive!

While I respect Rockport Music and its mission tremendously , having viewed Eastman Homage (Davone Tines), I believe the piece should have been aired as presented. Provocative, yes. But a hauntingly beautiful rendition of a piece with a message we all need to hear. It is especially encouraging to hear that Davone Tines will keep the dialogue with Rockport Music open.

Brilliant! Don't know why any arts organization wouldn't want to share in credit for this very compelling short film. Come sing in DC as soon as this pandemic allows us back into theaters, shoulder to shoulder. And make more films! Thanks for this.

I feel like I am listening with my whole body and spirit - as if experiencing possession - at once it is both Eastman’s possession by society and schizophrenia and passionate creativity and mission, Joan’s by saints and, who knows? Powerfully powerfully sung and presented, thank you. We must all speak (or sing) boldly.

Thank you, Davóne, for this performance. Given the obscurity into which Eastman has fallen, every bit of text, including the "offensive" titles, was important for those who watch and listen. Hope you're doing well.

I want to thank you Davone. I feel like I have just viewed a wonderful, informative, performance that brought me to the point of absorbing your voice and the background information. Due to my unfamiliarity with Eastman, had you not provided the context I would not have been able to understand this performance. You have given me something of great value, and I thank you.

So powerful, so uncomfortable, so beautiful, so painful, so right. Shame on Rockport! Shame-

Very powerful piece. Although strong and potentially disturbing, I found the text to be well done and told the story of Eastman's life. Difficult topics shouldn't be censored.

Rockport Music has hidden under a bushel that which should have been seen as it was originally intended to be.
