Great video Pauly. That guitar looks and sounds great. Those P90’s are full and fat, and really complement the hollow body. It is a Rock and Roll machine for sure!

I have one of these with a bigsby and absolutely love it. What a fantastic review of this amazing guitar. I love the cult riff. Thanks for a great video. Enjoy the T64!

I kind of regret not having one of them with a bigsby, to the point of considering the vibramate install on one. Its a skill id like to know how to do
@SteveTong22Ай бұрын
Sometimes I wish I didnt have the bigsby as I rarely use it. Have you seen the new Eastman T60s. Similar design to tge t64, it has p90s but easy access to the upper frets. Only in faded blue, I prefer the classic colours.
@Paul-DАй бұрын
Ive seen it. It wouldnt of been for me as i was after fully hollow to make it so different. The T60 is semi hollow i believe.

I'm surprised that the neck is thicker on the T64 than the T59. I thought they would have been very similar (I haven't yet had an opportunity to play a T59). I'm glad you're enjoying the T64! I agree with everything you said. The T64 is a rock 'n' roll machine and so comfortable to play sitting or standing. The only thing that bothers me is the scratchy static noise I often get from my fingers brushing against the pick guard. I'm not too keen to remove the pick guard since I like the look of it too much!
@Paul-DАй бұрын
Definitely thicker, and I personally like it more too. But the T59 is still great.... just would be even better with this neck haha. ahh I haven't noticed that yet - bet I will now though lol.

@Paul-D 4 day wait for the part. The shop is making a claim with carrier. Guitar is sweet! The TV finish is very thin. You can feel grain on the body. Thinner, not tacky at all compared to any nitro I've experienced.. Happy now!
@Paul-D12 күн бұрын
Thats what I was trying to explain to a friend the other day - although Id choose the varnish if I could - far as modern finishes go the thin True Tone is still far far superior to alot of others. Glad the issue is resolved quick. My SB56/n came with a bent tone pot. Shipping damage is very real haha
@jeremydahm212412 күн бұрын
@@Paul-D i figured out the switch issue. The guitar is way too loose in the case. No wonder the case was stuffed with wrap on delivery. The new case is sort of useless.

I had one of these with the bigsby on it some years ago , it was one of the older ones with the seymour duncan antiquity p 90's still in it before they changed to the lollar pu's , i was able to buy it 2e hand for 1100 euro's back then , but me beeing a stupid a.. hole , i sold it a year later and still regret that until this day , that guitar was amazing , grrr , even while typing this comment i still get upset about it : ) So whatever shit happens , don't sell you're eastmans pauly , have fun with you're new guitar .

ahhhh that is a real bummer man. But, regret serves no purpose I guess. I was very close to going bigsby, it's a skill id like to learn how to use.

A word of advice to current of future Eastman owners: don’t sell it “for something better.” Unless you spend 2x the money, you won’t find it. Only sell your Eastman to get a different Eastman. They’re such incredible instruments
@Paul-D24 күн бұрын
Exaclty. 2x the money atleast. If you can afford and find a great gibson customshop, or a great vintage one then great. But you can have a customshop level instrument at a very respectable price with eastman.

Can you clarify what you mean by hybrid strings please Pauly? Love your reviews and deep dives btw. I just got a 2020 cherry T486 today and it's an awesome guitar!

What do you think of the t 59? I am interested as well, but am leaning towards the 64
@jamesmaddockАй бұрын
@@j.j.riverhill2831 they are both wonderful instruments. I absolutely love my T59V and would tell anyone to buy it immediately. At least try it at a store . I can’t say enough about it . I tried the T64 V too and I loved it just as much so you cannot go wrong . Tonally I’d say the 64 has a more sonorous middle sound maybe a bit more responsive and is particularly great for clean tones . Jazzy and soulful stuff but I ended up with the 59 partly because I loved the colour ( Amber ) and it too played incredibly. I couldn’t buy both 😀they are my thoughts . I’m sure Paul has some thoughts too . I certainly loved the one I tried here in New York at Rudy’s .

I ended up getting a Eastman e1om solid sapele back and sides acoustic. It's fit and finish are really good, feels super smooth and has a full sound for it's size, it's kind of like a rosewood but with a bit of mahogany. Only issue I noticed is that one fret appears to have lifted lightly but I don't feel it when playing. The guitar also has more bass than I thought it would have, I am going to keep playing it and see if it's just me hitting the low e string. If not I am looking at a cole Clark san1ec with bunya top and maple back and side, as all the live acoustics I've ever watched used maple back and side guitars and I prefer the clarity of the sound.

Welcome to the T64/VT club Pauly ..I commented on your previous T64 video 8 months ago now ....Glad to see youve finally got one....I absolutely love mine...Mines a 2023 (still with the relic) I couldnt really find any QC issues to be honest, so maybe i got lucky...The only thing that ive found is that the pickguard on the odd occasion would vibrate (but not always) ...so i removed it ...I much prefer the look of it without to be honest ...I also stayed on the stock 11's for quite a while but have recently switched down to 10s ...those 11s make your hands ache after a while 😀....keep up the good work....by the way what amp and pedals are you using in this vid?
@Paul-DАй бұрын
Cheers man! Very glad i got one. Yeh i cant be doing with heavy strings. They make no sense to me, why reduce the time you can play for haha. Its the katana head and cab and the pedals flipped between the DCX boost and the protein

The juliet v looks very good too… and, like the Romeo, it’s its own thing rather than a Gibson copy. I say copy, but my T59 is at least as good as my custom shop ES 335! In fact I play it more than the Gibson.

@skeres01Ай бұрын
Nice demo. It definitely has a rock and heavy blues sound. See what you think of it with fuzz, it's pretty fun. Regarding quality control, I got one of the older T64V's but mine did have some small build issues, so maybe a few blemishes get through regardless of old or new. I very quickly forgot about the imperfections the more I played mine. How's the weight btw? I was blown away by how much lighter they are than the T59V. Looking forward to the comparison videos.
@Paul-DАй бұрын
Yeh maybe so, same with the nut on my T59v i guess. As you say though its so small and easily forgettable. I cant wait to play this one in more. I forgot to mention its 6lbs 11 which is 2 full pounds lighter then my T59 haha
@skeres01Ай бұрын
@@Paul-D anything under 7lbs is nice I think. My T59 is over 8lbs also, and probably the only thing about the guitar I would change if I could, but maybe that would affect the tone. You mentioned hybrid string. Are they 9-46 or something?

Yeh under 9 for a 335 is still good though. Those centre blocks can be pretty chunky weight wise. Yeh i keep going back to 9-46 on everything haha
