I've been browsing for days in search to buy my first violin and was leaning into the Eastman name. The sound is beautiful and I was very surprised with the fitting of the Despiau bridge which isn't common with violins priced at this range. The review just sealed my decision, thank you very much.

I do not play violin, however, I am passionate about playing the guitar. I have read, "Stradivari's Genius" by Toby Faber, a fascinating book about the master and his creations. I appreciate beautiful, well made instruments. I believe you could inspire me to pick up the violin :)

This review has made me much more confident in my decision to buy this instrument. As a university student, I couldnt have afforded to pay more than 500 Canadian dollars so this violin, in my mind, is perfect for a beginner. So far I am liking it.

Just looking into buying a violin and starting to play.Thank you for this comparison between the timber and fiberglass. I listened with Bose headphones and the timber has a much more "mellow", beautiful tone. Fiberglass sounded harsher, nowhere near the depth. No idea what I'm talking about but that is the tone I want to hear at least sometimes if I start to play.
