I’ve been eyeballing this chassis without the Bergara goodies. This really solidified that I should get this option as sold from Bergara. I have two of their rifles and couldn’t be happier with their performance but this is a great combination by two companies that offer an excellent option into lightweight hunting rifles. Good job on the video, you painted a very honest and descriptive review.

I want to say great review - but you've got about 5 grand into the gun / scope combo to shoot over 1 MOA. I'd like to see what this gun could do in the hands of a better shooter. And if you are a better shooter, the video review is certainly a perfect place to show it.

8ish pounds is light. LightEST? No. But LIGHT? Absolutely. It sure beats the 12+ pound rifles we have been slinging through the woods for years. Also super high quality and built by a decent manufacturer.
@TMar1292 жыл бұрын
@KZbinAlgorithm Dismantler better then a 30-06? Haha for a hunting rifle? No. For a long range rifle? Yes. But if you're looking for an all round hunting rifle the 30-06 is better in every capacity. Wider range or bullet weights, more case capacity, much wider selection of factory ammo.

So on my mg light I just went to put on the scope rail but even using the short screws in the front two holes the farthest one as in closer to the end of the barrel maxes out and doesn’t pull the rail down tight 🤷♂️

Even my light weight tikka does feel as balanced when carrying during hikes. I hunt and hike so all that stuff matters to me.

If you say all matters to you when looking at a rifle is using it (hunting and hiking), you can't evaluate it as "cheap" just from looking at it. But I know you can't admit i am right cause you are emotionally invested in your shitty crappington 700. If it's a old rifle it could be good quality tough, newer remingtons are crap, i have seen them many times and everytime i wasn't sure it was a toy gun Touchè

I would never hunt elk with a6.5 anything. First elk was with a 270 partitions. Close. Took four shots. After that, 338. Twenty nine more, maybe some took two steps. Most, none. Average, two-250yds. Bigger IS BETTER!!! Elk and brown bear especially.

@@jamessammann9183 My son, wife & daughter killed elk with a 6.5C at 100, 200 and 225yds & they went 20-80yds. I had never heard of the round in 2014. My son’s went 80yds, stopped and just stood so he put a second round in him. I believe the bullets didn’t expand well based on the wounds and lungs when cleaning them. At 200+ yds, they weren’t going anywhere. Wife’s at 225 turned and just took a few steps. I wanted them to use my 300Weatherby, but my son was 8y/o and the others afraid of the recoil, so we borrowed a 6.5C from the guide. It’s what he used for Colorado elk and north texas deer.

When guys talk about light hunting rifles then I see aluminum / magnesium and I cringe. Guess it’s for guys who don’t hunt below freezing. Holding aluminum when it’s cold outside absolutely sucks. The whole forstock should be carbon.

It's the stock. It on its own is around $1500 when made to order. Plus their carbon barrel which are always higher priced. I got a 2019 premier approach in 6.5 for less than $1600 on its initial release. Same action and trigger in the MG lite but everything else adds the cost unfortunately
